Remarks

The college is really very good, only the administration block need to improve a bit as there are a very less no of people to handle issues of such large no of students. Apart from that you'll really have memorable 4 years here.

Entrance Preview

I took AIEEE and made it to the college Initially i had Automotive Engineering which finally upgraded to ECE.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The ECE department is really good, all the proffesors are highly intellectual and if one is serious about the course itself these is immense scope for development and last two years are highly practical oriented and seminars and projects make it further more immersive and one can get a lot of exposure.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, the college does provide internship and various well known companies from RBS to Samsung R&D, Sandisk, and many other companies came to the college.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement scenario is such that it even beats IIT Delhi in some aspects from highest package being somewhere around 3 crores and the average package is somewhere around 5 lakhs. Almost every company that visits IITs visites DTU and anyone seriously interested in getting a job has a very good chance of being placed. Some students even got placed in the third year itself.

College Events

4

Every year around mid february college celebrated it cultural fest names ENGIFEST, it lasts for about a week and all sort of activities take place from dance to DJ Night, food stalls, STAR NIGHT where a celebrity performs. Mohit chauhan performed recently there. Also being a technical college there is a tech fest department wise where students display their technikal skill through projects and stuff.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is somewhere around ₹100000 per year. During the first year they also take security deposit of ₹5000. the fees decreases by ₹10000 per year as one goes from 1st year to 2nd to 3rd and so on. Looking at the status and the facilities provided, fees is not that much since some private colleges cost far more than this and provide nothing in the name of education.

Fees and Financial Aid

THE STATE BANK OF INDIA offers education loan for college students at fair interest rates, and college also provides scholarships to meritorious students in every department according to their performances.

Campus Life

4.5

The classes as in every other engineering college does have an unfair sex ratio, but departments like ECE, Computer science does have a fair no of girls. And talking about the extra curricular activities, the college has a very vast sports complex where one can play everything from lawn tennis to cricket to football, badminton etc.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostels are actually not adequate, the word is going on to build some more hostels. Currently only the students coming from outside Delhi have some fair chances of getting a hostel in the college otherwise you need to play daily or get yourself a rented accommodation.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is very strong, there is a dedicate department in the college which looks into the matters of alumina and works towards strengthening the networks of the alumni.

Exam Structure

Exams are held twice a semester. Mid terms are held around 2 months after the semester begins and they are of 20 marks. Then there are End Term exams carrying 70 marks and 10 marks are internal marks and overall you need to score 40 marks to pass that particular subject. Overall exams do not make you stressed that much...study seriously in class and you will be fine.

Admission

Admission forms were made available on the website and being a Delhiite i had always thought of securing a rank decent enought for me to land in a delhi college and what could have been better than DTU. We were made to fill the form and i was shortlisted in the first list itself and we came to secure our seat and filled the relevant forms and finally got our admission certificate.

Faculty

4

The faculty as I said is highly professional and at par with the standards, from your course teachers to lab assistants to your project mentors everyone out there is very helpful and makes sure that every single student gets to learn something new everyday.

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive, with practical modules and industry-focused content that influenced my choice. It effectively bridges academic knowledge with real-world applications. However, adding more case studies and interdisciplinary approaches could enhance learning. Exams are well-timed but could better assess critical thinking. Teaching methods would benefit from integrating more interactive and hands-on sessions.
