High rankings of DTU in national level, distance from home, exposure and opportunities associated, faculty profile and the prestige of DTU made me choose this university for my master's education. Also, the course preference of biotechnology.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course Curriculum is up to date and is adapted as per DBT guidelines. Academics is way too hectic and not much emphasis is given on practical application of knowledge. Students are made to do assignments that do not involve any sort of innovation and proactive utilisation of time.
Placement Experience
Many core and non core companies visit the campus for biotechnology departments, therefore there is room to switch into non core positions such as sales and marketing, and data analyst. Placement process is very smooth, the placement coordinator cordinates with faculty members so that best of the best opportunities are available for campus placement. However many students also opt for higher studies such as masters and PhD in India as well as in top ranked institutions worldwide.
College Events
Campus life is truly splendid to say the least. We have the annual fest known as Engifest which attracts students from various Institutions in the state. Moreover each society organizes their own fest that too on a grand scale. At the department level also fests are organised which serve as a good opportunity for networking and getting to know peers from our course.
Campus Life
Decent infrastructure. Library is well equipped. Labs are not upto the mark and there is huge room for improvement. WiFi is available. Also, a psychologist is also present 24*7 in the campus. Sports facilities are very nice.
