Remarks

Following are the reasons that convinced me to choose DTU over other options that I had, Delhi Technological University is a renowned technical institute. It has been imparting the best of the knowledge in the field of science, technology, arts, and management, for past approximately 75 years now. One of the best things I noticed is that several committees like a creative team, PR team, marketing team, etc. are made prior to an upcoming event. Students enthusiastically are a part of it, right from their first year in college. A healthy and respectable senior-junior relationship can be observed here. TU also encourages the students to participate and excel in sports. It funds the sports team for participation in all kinds of national tournaments. Being a research student I was also very impressed with the laboratories here. The faculty is very skilled and research-oriented.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum for MSc courses has been designed according to the guidelines of UGC strictly. The syllabus is very extensive. The faculty if very experienced and learned. Lab facilities are good. Syllabus is completed on time. Exams and other evaluation measures are conducted with seriousness.

Internships Opportunities

I opted for a content writing internship with 3meds.com. It is an unpaid internship.

Placement Experience

4.5

We are the first batch of MSc to be sitting for placements, so prior information is not available yet. But it can be speculated that jobs are mainly for the profile for data analysis, marketing, r&d and academics. The Mtech and Btech students who got college placements are being contacted for referrals.

College Events

5

Campus life is great. It is very happening and lively. People can be seen doing a lot of stuff. Campus is lush green and looks very fresh. The gardens are well maintained. One or the other events are organized on a regular basis. On average, it can be said that the college has atleast 2-3 cultural events each month. Different courses have their seperate technical, cultural and management fests. All the fests are well-sponsored and well-organized. The footfall is great. Different committees and teams are made for each event and hence, students get good oppurtunity to showcase and also develop skills like management and organizing skills.

Campus Life

Labs are moderately equipped. Capable to cater to experimental needs to 10-12 students. Library resources are really good.It also provides free access to online books and servers also. Plagiarism check software is very well set up. The library is big enough to accommodate more than 500 students at once. the seating arrangements are good. WiFi facility is there in the college. Sports activities are given equal importance. SPorts complex and other courts or running tracks are very well maintained. Coaches are present for most of the sports and games. Teams are funded to participate in national-level tournaments.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms are available as 1/2/3 seater rooms depending on the year. The hostel infrastructural designs are good. The cleanliness is moderately good. The mess facility is also available. Food is good and prepared with hygiene principles. The PGs are available close to college with an average rent of 6-10k/month. One should apply for the hostels in time, as there is quite a competition.

I have enjoyed my Masters at this college. It was a good experience studying here. The faculty was humble skilled and polite that I have faced no major issue in any subject. The library was having enough books related to subjects and also outside the syllabus. Overall experience was quite good in Dr B.R. Ambedkar Center for Biomedical Research.

Positive thing is that faculty and department is very good. Campus is so good and clean. More importantly, in delhi to get such a beautiful campus is totally a bliss. Negitive thing is that politics is included in every thing.

ISI life is definitely a colourful one. You will have your study pressure, but besides that it will offer you to live independently. You can participate in various sports and cultural activity. And I can surely tell you, no other institute offer such low investment in education with big returns, be it grabbing a handsome package in a big corporate or reputed university in USA or Europe.
