Remarks

Management is fine but some teachers really need to cope up with the changing times. Commenting on someone's dressing sense in unacceptable these days.

Entrance Preview

OJEE, Rank General-4800,The reason for choosing this college was reliability. Generally the legitimacy of an institution in our country is proportional to it's age. Most of the top engineering and management colleges in our country are atleast 3-4 decades old. That and also heard some good things about the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course which is setup by BPUT, the university under which our college is registered. Frankly the course emphasizes too much on the theoretical part and the exposure to the practical and industrial field is negligible at best. The courses are changing but the need for practical knowledge should be increased manifolds.

Internships Opportunities

Nope and we have to do it on our own. The college's function in this direction is only to provide an NOC (No objection certificate) when we need which later we have to give to the companies for further processing on the internship front. The internships are mostly unpaid in nature.

Placement Experience

3

Mosty IT companies are coming for placements. There are a lot of opportunities in this area but it depends on the individual itself. Some companies do come on the Institution itself and many companies do come off-campus or in pool campus. Opportunities are there in software companies but if you want a core company job you are out of luck and have to rely on yourself only.

College Events

1.5

There is a yearly festival held in our college consisting of technical and cultural programmes. In it various types of competitions and events are organised. Also usually a B class singer comes every year. When i was in first year Nikhil D'Souza came and last time Ami Mishra came. There is a lot of politics in gaming and other competitions which is a bummer because many participate in them to show their interests and talents which then goes in vain.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible but we are not getting our money's worth there is no industrial exposure, the classrooms are not state-of-the art, the infrastructure is not something great to write about they do have the State's biggest auditorium but that's all that is to say about it.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was nothing of such kind the national education system is mostly supportive for low caste students so no surprises here in this regard. There are some third party institutions willing to provide for those in need but they are too less to remember also there is a facility for financially unstable students in the OJEE itself called TFW students can apply in it.

Campus Life

2.5

The gender ratio is okay considering this an Indian Engineering college parties do not happen officially but is individual based. Diversity is pretty less because almost everyone is either from Odisha or neighbor states. Most of the students are localities and they come from their homes and rest are from nearby districts and states.Students mostly are from Jharkhand, Bihar etc.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Our college has only one year hostel facility for boys and 4 years for girls the food was okay considering mess standards the hostel wasn't expanded as other colleges because of one year restriction and also the location is really bad the campus which is inside the hostel is really in a remote place.

Alumni/Alumna

Some seniors are helpful while most do not bother about us. It is pretty forgettable the senior junior interaction was pretty scarce for the academic calendar and so on if you are having someone in contact before the college in the senior year then it will surely help.

Exam Structure

The exams and classes routine are really tiring. The emphasis on attendance is too much and on knowledge nothing. We have to report for the buses at 9 am for a long tiresome journey of 45 mins to college. Classes start at 10 am and there is a break of 45 mins at 1pm and the classes go on till 4:45 pm.The buses leave at 5 and we reach our hostels at 6.

Admission

The admission procedure was pretty straightforward, You get rank in OJEE and then you have to submit the choices vis-a-vis your college selection and branch. Then you have to verify your documents on a specific date at the nodal center verification. Then you have to report to your college for fees deposition and documents verification and then you have to report to the admission department.

Faculty

2.5

There is common disbelief that education and teaching go hand in hand. The faculty is qualified but the teaching method is really off-putting. Also use of new methods should be integrated in their teaching. The classes are really boring and subjective based. These kind of studies makes you a mugger. The facilities are mostly self-centered egoistics. The atmosphere in classes is really restrictive and friendliness is really out of the park.

Our college give good placement but packages are very low package start with 150000 and end in 700000 . But you study properly then you try pursuing higher studies. 40% students placed but below 400000 . after completing you try off campus placement then you secured good salary on good company.

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.
