Remarks

It was a reputed college and was well established in my locality and quite well known as one of the top colleges in the whole of my state. It is one of the top 5 colleges of the state and has kept up its name since it was started. It is also well known for the branches Mechanical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). I was interested in ECE and this was also a factor which made me choose this college as it was well known for the course.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college became autonomous in 2016 and the syllabus was revised and updated then, that is being followed now. In 2016, some topics were added, some altered and additions and deletions were made to the syllabus. The labs have all the equipments to train us for the industrial exposure and we were taken on industrial visits to the Neyveli nuclear power plant, Integral Coach Factory (ICT) in Guindy, Chennai and to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The minimum qualification of faculties in our college is PG and most have completed their PHDs.

The placement process varies from company to company and mostly consists of 4 rounds- a test, group discussion (some companies), 2 technical interviews and a HR interview. The Entrepreneur cell conducts events regularly and invites notable entrepreneurs to speak.

The placements of the college are very good. The studentrs are given oppertuties and are given chances for comapnies such as amazon, Wipro, JP morgan and such that have a great CTC and a large number of other companies including startups are also available. If the student is interested in entrepernership then the startup cell funds for the ideas of students.
