R.M.K. College of Engineering and Technology (RMKCET) is an engineering college in the village of Puduvoyal, in the municipality of Tiruvallur, in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is governed by the Lakshmikanthammal Educational Trust, affiliated with Anna University, Chennai, and approved by AICTE. It is a Telugu minority institution.
The college opened in 2008 with five departments: Information Technology (IT), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Mechanical Engineering (MECH).It now has more than 1700 students in various departments such as EEE, ECE, CSE, Information Technology, and mechanical engineering.
The campus is about 100 acres (0.40 km2). The college has a fleet of 26 buses for transportation of students.

Facilities:-
Computer Center:
The computer centers with Centralized AC is spread over an area of 1848 square feet and computer center-II has more than 2500 squrea feets. 448 systems of which two of them are servers with configuration of 4GB RAM. All other systems have 4GB RAM with 500GB Hard Disk Capacity, which are fully networked and have the latest software. All Center also has 33 Printers and 110KVA UPS with 30 mins backup. The Centre has a 25 Mbps (1:1) leased line Internet connection from TATA Tele Services.
Library:-
The College Library Contains 10362 Volumes of books with 2565 titles. The Library also subscribes to 48 National Journals and 20 Magazines
The Library Services are automated through the Standard Library Software package called “ Autolib 5.2 version” The Circulation System is fully Computerised and all the documents are bar-coded .
