Likes
- Attendance is not strictly maintained so we can easily do interns
- Important questions will be given before examination so it won't be that tough to study
- There will be lot of club activities so you can have great exposure
Dislikes
- College Canteen is very poor and you won't get good food
- College is in the out skirts of the city amd hence it takes a long time to travel
- Bus fees is high but the quality of the buses are very low.
Course Curriculum Overview
Mostly the Curriculum are quite good like DSA, ML, DL related subjects are there for my department but they still have some subjects which are quite useless like EVS technical drawings which are quite waste of time
Internships Opportunities
Svce supports interenships a lot, you can just write only exam and don't have to attend any classes if you are an intern. Companies like Zoho hire interns from SVCE with the stipend around 20k per month and also many other companies like Madstreet den, Bounteous are also a famous job providers.
Placement Experience
The placements start at the 5th sem and go untill the 8th sem and the placed students need not have to come to college and can go to interns, the average lpa for CS department is around 5lakh per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
The Fees are quite affordable if you come in DOTE as it will around 7 lakh for the 4 years span but if you want management quota seat then it will be around 8 lakh for donations only, so it is better to apply through counseling only
Campus Life
The college culturals will be ok but there will be lot of club activities which will give you nice exposure and as for sports you can go for events but they won't give you practice they will just give you freedom to attend any event
Admission
For eligibility it is in the top 5 engineering college in Tamilnadu, so the closing rank for CS department will be around 7000 for BC and General and for SC and ST it will high, when I joined for AI they asked 191.5 cutoff minimum.
Faculty
The faculty to students ratio in cs department is around 20 student per faculty mostly they are master degree holders and phd holders are very low but there are some good teachers who would guide you in your career.
