Anonymous's Review On Cochin University Of Science And Technology, School Of Legal Studies - [SLS], Kochi

I wrote so many examinations and was only qualified for a few of them and one of them was School of Legal Studies CUSAT. I choose CUSAT mainly because it is situated in same state as my home and I don't want to be away from my family. The next reason is that the accadamic standard and teaching is much better in CUSAT than other colleges in which I was eligible for and the last reason is that the fees structure is affordable for us. The things I like about the university is obviously the place were it is situated, its accadamic standard, the vast library it has, friendship I could get and have from different departments in the university. I choose LLB because I always wanted to be a lawyer. At first it was just to be different from my friend but then I understood that I am much more comfortable and enjoys these subjects more. I like debating and wanted to show all those people who told me that I can't be a lawyer by becoming a lawyer.

Course syllabus is moderately updated. Not much has changed in the syllabus for that much from our previous batches. Fuculties are really great. Their teaching styles are really good, friendly atmosphere is created during classes, very understandable and hardworking faculties. There is not that much industrial exposure.

There is no placement in our department but in total university level courses like MBA, engineering have job placements.

Campus life is really good. There are many events which are hosted by different departments. Like each departments have it's own events and others can participate in it. Treasure hunts, logical quizzes, management activities, Moot Courts, other art festivals, Model United Nations are some of the extracurricular activities that are to be expected in this university.

Hostel infrastructure is one of the main thing that university lack. It doesn't provide hostel facility for students that are there. Availability of hostel is by applying and it is given to students on the basis of distance after giving reservations.
