Course Curriculum Overview
I am thoroughly impressed with the curriculum of Kerala University. The course structure and content are well-designed providing a comprehensive understanding of topics. The faculties' expertise and way of teaching methods make the learning effective.
Internships Opportunities
Internships and postings are provided from 2nd year onwards. The primary internship is provided at AKG hospital(own hospital), Letters are held outside. Degree completion of the first batch of BPT students was in 2022. Overall course duration is 4 years+ 6 months internship.
Fees and Financial Aid
It costs almost 1 lakh and 50000 in total for a year including hostel and mes charge. Various scholarships are availed for this course namely central sector. Yearly fees are 78000+ 24000 hostel fees as of then.
Campus Life
Overall experience with this college is moderate, neither too good nor bad. The curricular activities and teachers are good meanwhile mates are hard to adjust. College day, Onam festival, Fine Arts Day and Christmas Festival are held there. There is a vast library. Classrooms are neat and clean with good furnishing.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are by the college itself but it seems students are going for PG nowadays. Meal quality is good. An attached bathroom was there in the room as of then. The mess charge was 3000 per month if you were residing in a hostel 'by college'.
Admission
The admission process is purely based on merit (12th mark). One should apply for the course through the LBS portal of Kerala university. You can avail the benefit of reservation. The examinations are 'yearly' and we have to pass three internal examination to write university exam. Exams at KUHS University are difficult, pass mark is 50 out of 100.
Faculty
Most faculty members are trained and experienced, but some are young and just completed MPT. Half of the faculties are very friendly to students. We can interact with those teachers without any hesitation. Meanwhile some are strict.
