Remarks

I'm satisfied with what my College has to offer. Always grateful.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is CBCS which makes us to focus better on our core subjects. There are Research students who are there to help and motivate us anytime and the profeesors are really brilliant in rhe field. Apart from academics we were introduced to certificate diploma courses which would help us in the future. There are study trips every year to gain more depth to the subject.

Placement Experience

1

There isn't much. I can't say Companies visit us for recruitment cause our students mostly aim for clearing NET JRF and continue in research fields.

College Events

4.5

Our College organises Expos for young and creative minds to showcase their innovations from different colleges. We celebrate Culrural day with great pomp where we invite Chief guest and introduce our rich cultures and embrace one's unity in diversity of. We have Literary Day and Win Fest where students can shine by their talents.

Fee Structure And Facilities

We pay every semester. Odd sems are usually more than even. That's because we pay for library and bus fares for the whole time year during odd semester. We pay around 20k for odd and 12k for even. We usually do by depositing in the bank. There aren't any additional charge. Yes they publish the fee breakdown on our prospectus.

Fees and Financial Aid

I take Inspire Scholarship. I was introduced to it by my higher secondary school after 12. The requirements were that I must have the marks of the top 1䋃 among all the students in our state. And I'll be able to get it only if I studied Bsc. I applied it online and got selected. So from my 1st year I've been getting 60000 annually. I'll be able to get this until my Masters only if I obtain 60䋃 above in all my papers without any back papers.

Campus Life

We have almost equal gender ratios. We indulge in all sorts of extracurricular activities be it labs, sports and so on. The students here are diversed with different cultural backgrounds. Our college is also cost friendly so students with struggling background can also study here.

Hostel Facilities

Yes. I didn't opt for the hostels provided by the College cause of its huge crowd. It's cost is cheaper and much efficient but I wanted to live somewhere where there aren't much mates. So I live in a private hostel with just 20 of us. I can live a peaceful hostel life and no interruption for study too. The food is good and it meets every facility that I need. The ambiance is good too.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni Association is very strong here. There are many alumni students who contributes greatly to the good cause of our College.

Admission

I got admitted through the entrance test. I opted this course because of it's renowned name in academics. We first got the selected list through the official college website. We were given only a specific date for the admission and anyone failing to turn up would be nullified and given chance for the people in waiting list. We were asked to deposit the money to the principal'a account.

Faculty

5

We have 4 lecturers for our 4 papers. Most of our lecturers are best in their fields and have completed their PhDs. They are all male in their mid years around 40-60. The lectures given by them are easy to grasp and our concept becomes stronger. The lecturers give us opportunities to attend/ participate at in seminars of intricated topics.

The curriculum prepares me really well, i also learnt new features to develop new app which i am working on it. A little improvement should be made in the computers in the lab. The timing of exams is 3 hours which is a lengthy hour for us to complete our exams.

Model Christian College - [MCC], Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Zoology)
Reviewed on Nov 18, 2023(Enrolled 2020)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I find Zoology a very fun subject. It is the study of animals, both living and extinct, including their anatomy, embryology, genetics, habits, and many more. The faculty members are very friendly and understanding. They're easy to approach and not only that their teachings are good. They're always ready to help when we're in need. For the science stream, there is a practical exam before the final theory exam. Also, the class test depends upon the respective professors of each stream. The exam question papers were issued by the NU board and not by the college. The question paper is average. It also depends on how well you prepare for the exam.
