Course Curriculum Overview

Not relevant & not research driven. No industrial visit organised yet for students. Exam structure is not good, need improvement. Course is very old & legacy type. Needs improvement or changes according to industrial requirements. The subjects thoughts are obsolete in respect to career needs.

Placement Experience

1

Not much placement possibilities. Rarely 2 or 3 companies visit for placement. Internships are there but not encouraged by college or faculties.

College Events

1.5

Novus is one technical or cultural festival celebrated here. Not much cultural events are permitted here. All the time, just studies & academics. The administration is highly unfriendly for the students. Apart from sports, we are permitted for sports events only.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive for a middle class person. Only challan mode of payment is supported by college. To secure admission, additional 20000 is to be paid to the college administration every year, which is excluding the college fees for their campus development.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, I got scholarship from the government due to my merit. I used to get 40000 scholarship by government.

Campus Life

Campus life was pretty depressing and boring. Loved the ratio of girls and boys. Labs were average & sports were conducted. No extra curricular events were happening in the college. Faculties were highly unfriendly & unsupportive. Student diversity can be observed much in the college.

Hostel Facilities

I haven't stayed in hostel. I preferred PG for stay every year. PG are average near the college. The cost of PG would be 5000 per month. The college hostels are 4 sharing rooms with friendly environment.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is not that bad. Seniors are nice but mean and I didn't like the course or college. Only thing good is hostel food.

Admission

Through KCET entrance exam. No extra curricular events were happening in the college. Faculties were highly unfriendly & unsupportive. The administration is highly unfriendly for the students. College management or administration is truely pathetic.

Faculty

1.5

Average knowledge about course. Labs were average & sports were conducted. No extra curricular events were happening in the college. Faculties were highly unfriendly & unsupportive. The administration is highly unfriendly for the students. College management or administration is truely pathetic.

Placement Experience:

Since we are going into our 2nd year, our batch hasn't been through campus placement yet. Based on previous batch records, though, students are typically eligible for placements from the 4th trimester onwards, once internships are completed. GIBS had a strong track record, with over 200+ companies visiting campus, including names like Amazon, Accenture, Wipro, Mahindra Finance, etc. The highest package offered was around 20 LPA, and average package was around 8.3 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview:

There wasn't really any. It was mostly the friendliness of the profs that pulled me into maths. Do note that in IISc, the first three semesters are common and you pick majors after that. The maths curriculum prepares you for a future in either industry or academia. Moreover, one can take courses in other departments to help their industry pursuits. Only way would be to make some courses more interactive, but this hasn't been a problem for me personally. Most high level courses have two exams. Sometimes not even that. And exams generally aren't difficult for someone who has kept up with the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is based on practical scenarios and very relevant since doctors need to understand real life scenarios inorder to treat patients. Curriculum includes OSCE and certified skills that prepare students to become good doctors. More individual attention and skill development can help students understand topics and mould into good clinicians.

Placement Experience:

College provides a proper assistance for placements, all students gets placed, exception of 2-3 students are there, placements starts for summer internship one two months after entering the college, the procee is on till maximum of students gets placed. In and arround 50-80 companies visit campus for hiring and offers is made to every possible students eligible. Highest package stands at 18 lakhs and is between 10 to 11 lakhs. Nearly every students gets placed, exception of 2-3 students are there. Ambition and aspiration in my views changes as time proceeds, so I believe in short term goal making, though my plans post degree is to get placed in an MNC to kickstart my career from good position, where learning graph is very high.
