Remarks

Overall college is good. Being a engineering college they should encourage more innovation and research work. Faculties are good but not competent enough with present professional arena. Although they are working for it. Extracurricular are very well supported.

Entrance Preview

I took UPSEE in the year 2007 and got the rank 2728. I opted for this college basically because of its good ranking in states engineering colleges. In the year 2006 it stood second in the ranking.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

This college comes under Uttar Pradesh Technical University. Course curriculum is same across every college of this university. So my college also followed the same curriculum as prescribed by UPTU. Curriculum, overall it was competent enough to get you the survival in professional arena after college.

Internships Opportunities

When i was student there they didnt provide any kind of internship. I dont know about now. M.Tech was not so useful in my college. It was basically designed for B.Tech only.

Placement Experience

3.5

You will get enough opportunity for placements in AKGEC. A lot of reputed and MNC comes to campus every year for hiring fresh engineers. But yes you can not any way compare it with IITs and NITs. There are a lot of mass recruiter as well which comes to campus every year. Even if you are average student, you will get placed. College it self organizes workshops and placement preparations. But its lagging in attracting core companies to the campus. Most of the time you are bound to work for an IT firm even if you are a mechanical Engineer.

College Events

4.5

Mega event was Tech Trisna which was a inter college event used to take place on an annual basis in the month of March. A lot of colleges used to come for participation. It was a big budget event until my time no sponsorship was given to anyone, don't know about now. Inside the college also there were a lot of events used to take place. Every Branch owns its society as i was the member of Mechanical Engineering society called Samveg. Every Society organizes the events open for all to induce the interest of their course so that you should be having the minor knowledge of every engineering stream not only your own stream. A sports meet would also be organised every year named "Saksham", in which every branch would fight for the title. as a whole total 8-10 games were there to be played. One football ground, Bollyball court, basketball court

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure in U.P. is a little expensive as compared to other state colleges and its rising every year. I guess authority is not regulating the fee structure of private colleges properly. Every college is in the race to increase the fee. That is not good.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship was provided at my time and i haven't availed it any. i dont know about it now. I guess only studentship was being given to the students who were economically weak based on there parents income.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life was on average good. Nice environment for studies. Healthy competition between students. Good senior junior relationship. There is ample support for extracurricular form college system. They keep include labs to make their student more competent and tough. Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel Facility is over all good. Which is guarded by a strict warden. Mess food, everybody has there own take for it. Nobody likes there own mess food, same goes for here as well. But one thing i can say, in AKGEC it was hygenic and food was decent. They follow weekly menu for food. There was a gym,TV room and library inside the hostel. Washrooms were there for every wing.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni culture is not that good. Once passout college wont keep a track about you. once in a while they will invite you for alumni meet that too because of your work location, you wont be able to attend. You will have to build your own network with seniors.

Exam Structure

It was a semester basis system with 8 semester of B.Tech Program. Written examinations were held honestly and very strictly. Exams doesn't take place in your own college. You will have to write examination in different college opted by officials of UPTU. But labs and practical exams were not that tough and taken seriously. No body would flunk in practical exams. During semesters time table labs would be there in schedule and you have to maintain minimum mandatory attendance for the sure. They will keep you busy across the semester.

Faculty

3

I was the student of Mechanical Engineering. Faculty in AKGEC is something that should be focused at. Very less faculty were there who actually induct and motivate you for the innovation. A lot of faculty just ask you to score well and strictly follow the syllabus. For preparing a engineer faculty should be very supportive for new thoughts oriented.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course structure is good of btech but there there is only thing I don't like is that in btech course the subjects in first year are not related to career of students because there is physics, chemistry other irrelevant subjects present in first year but in second year the course become interesting and relevant. Curriculum is good and prepare well for real world applications. The exams comes frequently every month there is a class test but class tests are moderate on the basis of there difficulty level.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placements in the final year. The college offers basic placement training and assistance. Some local and local-level comanies even visit for campus recruitment with average offers. Average package: 2-4 LPA, highest around 9-10 LPA 60-90 percent students get placed. My plan is to develop my skills and attain a good job or go for higher studies after degree.

course curriculum is little bit out-dated, and improvements are needed in terms of syllabus. timing of exams are ok ok. so many assignments are given which is really hectic because their are deadlines to upload those assignments in google classroom. and one thing i hate about college is 75% attendence is must. due to this we do not get much time for our personal development.
