Remarks

It is the best college in Howrah for Science. The laboratory is more efficient than other colleges. I am satisfied with this college.

Anthropology is the new subject after HS. It is the most interesting subject from other subject.

No campus was held with our college. Student can rent house beside the college. This facilities was given by the college authority.

Fees and Financial Aid

In M.Sc you got job under University. Approximately 5000per sem is the cost to study.

Campus Life

Annual fest is held on college. Each department have their own library. No lack of books and journals in the library was held on our college.

Interview Experience

Group discuss was held on college before admission. Interview Questions and test pattern are not important in this college.

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.
