Remarks

Our College is autonomous. It is College of Vishwakarma University. Probably the best private college In Pune after PICT. If you are planning for Pune then After COEP & PICT. VIT/VIIT is the only best choice.

Course Curriculum Overview

As it is autonomous College so curriculum is quite flexible. More than Theory, practical oriented / Industry based approach is there. Facilities were quite good. About Faculty well it depends on luck if you got good one.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 917200 per year

Placement Experience

Well, regarding placements, I can’t say for my batch, since our placements haven’t started yet. But the college allows us to do a 6-month long or 1 year long (depending on the company) internship which I think a lot of colleges don’t allow. These companies, in turn, offer placements to such students. Companies like Nvidia, Seagate, UBS, IBM and many more have offered internships as of now. And if I’m to say about placements from the previous year, they were “excellent” just as placements happen.

College Events

Campus Life is awesome. Lots of Technical/non-technical events happen in College. Cultural fest is also well celebrated. All the students show lots of enthusiasm/energy in any events in College. College is also very supportive for any events.

Fees and Financial Aid

Is gives you scholarship according to obc/sc/st or any other caste. TFWS is also available. College can also avail you education loan.

Campus Life

Sports facility isn't very well. Wifi is there in some spots. laboratory is very well equipped. Library contains tons of books. But is not much big in size because many students borrow books in their home.

Hostel Facilities

Don't take College hostel it will cost you a lot. Instead one should look for "Shared Flats" / Rented Rooms/ PG. As it will cost you monthly less than 3k. Nearby hostel will charge you nearly 70k / yr.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after the 4th sem. Many companies visit and at least one person is hired by every company. Companies from UAE and international companies also make offers. Highest package was 9 lpa and average is 3.5-4 lpa. Only 5-10% students go for a job, others go for higher studies. I am too looking for a part time job with continuing higher studies. Overall the campus placement is good for students looking for a good job and pay. Most get hired as Assistant engineers.

Microbiology is mainly lab based work but it also teaches you other worldly things , the reason behind me choosing Bsc microbiology to do from ruia is because , once i had a talk to an alumni of ruia in which she mentioned that microbiology from ruia is basucally equal of engineering from an IIT. In microbiology particularly i would say the difficulty level is a bit high but only if you don't pay attention to daily lecs and practicals

VIIT -a good option?

1) I applied to VIT pune ,COEP pune ,PICT pune,CUMMINS ,PCCOE . I didnt get these colleges because i didnt have percentile for merit for that college i had 95.84 percentile and their cutoff for CS branch was 97 at that time which was difficult for me . 2)students can enroll in our college using MHTCET and JEE mains score .Through cet cell there are cap rounds total three and last one spot round (may have changed now).Apart from this there are no tests or exams to get an admission in this college...Read More
