Remarks

I chose this university because here the faculty members are effectively good in teaching, it provides better placements to students, the faculties work really hard to get their students placed.My parents didn't want me to go far so they thought it was a better option. Also i have seniors who studied here so they recommended it to me. I opted for this course because it has got a wide range of opportunities. This course helps u to get placed in IT sectors as well as in its core companies the choice is all yours.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course syllabus is upto date. Yes being an ece student we are allowed for industrial visits and all. The college itself takes us for industrial visits. Faculties are good here, no i won't name them because there are more than one.

A lot of companies visit here for example - tcs, vipro, infosys, cognizant, etc. The placement process takes place smoothly from conducting exams to interviews everything. Students from my department are mostly placed in IT sectors. The alumnis take care of everything that covers tge placement process and keeps us updated

College Events

UEM organizes a techfest named Ureckon and a cultural fest named Ecstasia every year. It also keeps entertaining students by organizing different events eg- saraswati puja, sports, marathon etc. Here we get a wide range of events to participate in. The techfest contains lots of events and students from different colleges participate in them. Cultural fest is not that big but only student's are involved. We have aur own dj student's put up stalls, startups etc.

Campus Life

There is a basement where you get to play all kinds of games eg - golf, carrom, football etc. There is a basket ball court and a play ground where you can play all sort of physical activities. It provides wi-fi which is secured. It has a well equipped library which contains all sort of books along with computers and internet connections. The labs are also well equipped with all kinds of materials and devices.

Should I Choose IEM.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Heritage Law College is Lovely!!

Placement Experience:

Number of students who have been placed is far less than what it should be ideally. Kolkata is a paradise for law practice as it is the largest city of India and lawyers have always been in demand here. Still only 30% of the students are placed here and that's a big issue considering the name of our college.

Most of the students also get placement opportunities whether large or small package The opportunity is given to all degree whether it be bcom or bcom hons . Any student who does not get placed can easily use the degree to get a high paying off campus placements and to go to any good college or stay in this college for their post graduation.

The course curriculum is backdated and should be improvised as it doesn't give any exposure of present industry knowledge. The frequency of exams is that exams are held after 6 months on semester basis and are easy to pass and majority of the students pass this semester easily.

Decent government college which needs to improve.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is obviously outdated and the knowledge we get through it, is bookish and does not apply to present industry methods. This way we are given no exposure to the real life industry knowledge. The exams are held on semester basis after every 6 months and are easy and manageable.

If you come to this college this college is good the teachers are friendly and you will get the campus from the college if you study hard.

You can take admission in UEM Kolkata through IEMJEE Entrance Test or Direct Admission by giving 10,000/-. College review

Provide decent jobs to most students. Faculties are helpful and teach well. You can issue 3 books at a time from the library once your library card is made. Classes are held to enhance your communication skills. A lot of items in the canteen and cafeteria. No ragging. There is no ground to play. Very strict rules, has a lot of restrictions. Most students call it a jail, cause you cannot bunk classes. But believe me, it will shape you into a good human being and you will also get placed if you put your effort.
