One of the best college under WBUT

Our college has a reputation of being called as School. Students are so disciplined that students from other colleges are shocked to see. Time schedule is strictly followed. If any student breaks a few rules he/she is fined. But in the end, it helps to build our career.

I got admission in this college through JEE(main), Apart from that one can get admission via WBJEE rank as well. I secured 91, 000 rank (all india) and got here. I opted for this as it is the best college under wbut and nearest from our home.

The course i.e B.Tech can be done from here on Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical & Electronics department. The faculty is great. Students are also very disciplined towards their course.

The internships are organized for the 3rd year students after 6th semester. Two or Three companies are brought to train the students and make them aware about service that they are about to do in the future. Stipend is around 10k.

This college is well known for its placement records. About 80% of the students are placed after the direct campusing round. Rest are also placed through pool or other interviews.

Every year a cultural fest is arranged by the students. The main festival of this college is the technical fest called SREY held every year in the month of April.

Semester fee is around 40, 000 per semester. That means around 3.5 lakh for the total course which is feasible as in this is Engineering course. Those who cannot afford this, can have the option of taking loan from the banks.

WBFS scholarship is provided for the students whose family income is less. They can get half or full scholarship according to their need.

Students are always kept busy with the academics, so they do not get much time anywhere else but their is a common room for the students to play in their free classes. Events on robotics are held in SREY. Cricket and Football tournaments are organized every year.

Food is okay, not great but not costly. There is a canteen for the students within the campus area which provides all kinds of food at a very reasonable price.

Senior students are very friendly and supportive. They help in all cases, such as for higher studies and all that. Alumni network is also good. Seniors interact with the juniors but ragging is strictly prohibited.

Two internal exams and a semester is taken in between every 6 months. Several class tests are also taken throughout the year which keep the students busy.
