CET, Karnataka entrance examination i took in 2002 november. I got 3301 rank. I wanted to study with E&C branch and all the topmost colleges were full by the time my rank came for choosing the college. This was a good college in a b category available with E&C branch and very near to bangalore where we finally have opportunity to work.

The course structure was based on VTU university syllabus. Faculty was not that good so we had to study on our known. I used to attend all the classes to know if there are any changes in the internal test structure it was helpful for internal exams as teachers know you for attending classes. there was good infrastructure for lab but not good faculty to support on research. we took out side tuition even to understand the depth of few subjects.

No my college did not provide intern-ship when i was there. i do not have knowledge on current status.

I got placed from my college campus. When i passed out they were pretty good in placement. College had got placement officer who used to hunt for companies and provide opportunity. if you have good marks and no back log then there were lot of companies. in fact i got offer from two companies. L&T and Syntel. i chose L&T because of my interest in embedded stuffs. recession hit in 2008 and we heard after coming out from college that there was a slow down. but now they are doing good.

Our college used to encourage external curricular activities. i was crazy about body building and fashion shows. every year there is a annual day celebration. we used to have lot of fun and many events such as dancing singing, dumb serazs.i had participated in inter collegiate fashion show competition got MR. flair trophy. it was a pleasing movement.

The fee structure was very low when i studies i just paid 36000 per anum. but now a days it has gown up to 150000 per enum.sometime you may opt for direct admission. in that case they take 3 lacs extra plus 150000 per enum. which gross up to 10 lacks for full engineering. hostels fees are 9000 per anum which is ok. quality of the rooms are good and they provide free internet connection.

I did not avail any loan. but they have consult with loan providers. Do not have exact idea how they do it.

Campus life in KIT is rocking. there is a balance on study and sport activities. Mixture of south india and north india guys. you get to learn so many things which you expect to do before joining any college. i could list of following which is required for any student:1. separate gym.2. play ground.3. Library full of books.4. Nice administrative block.5. grass lanes and park.6. Fountains.7. 24 hour internet. all free do whatever you want to download.9. awards and recognition.

We had boys and girls hostel separate. girls hostel used to be outside college campus in a very safe place. they had proper security.hostel rooms were very good and on a sharing basis designed for two are three per room based on room size. Food was good.

College has got its separate alumni page. they invite every year all the alumini to participate and give some direction to current students. i had been once it feels great to be in college campus with lot of respect and fun filled activities organized by theym

VTU has prescribed the exams format. basically there were two types of exams internal and external. Total marks per semester was 900, 200 comes from internal and rest 700 from external exams.internal exam marks were based on good boy and bad boy feelings

Faculty was not good. there were few of them who had complete knowledge on the subjects. others were very novice and just passed out from college. we used to study on our own to understand the subjects properly.We did have some old teachers who had good k
