Remarks
The main factor that has driven me to take admission in this college is the Course. I had strongly decided to take Computer Science and Engineering. Also NIT Durgapur is an excellent college for CSE and Mechanical Engineering. I opted CSE because I am very much passionate in new technologies.
Course Curriculum Overview
First semester and second semester are common to all branches of Engineering and 5-year Integrated Chemistry program. Some of the courses are grouped for interchange between first and second semester for half of the students. The professors working here are highly knowledgeable and qualified. They are well established with several researches from all over world with collaboration with foreign universities and colleges. They offer several project related works to the students. In case of faculties there are very good teachers and also weird teachers ever seen.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rooms are good but the is no proper maintenance and cleaning of rooms. Also per room 3 members are allotted which makes the rooms quite congested. There would also be other kind of problems as three members mostly cannot cooperate as their mentality differs. Also there is no availability of hot drinking water and Air Conditioners. But there are some good facilities like cupboard, chair, table, and cot for each student. Wi-Fi facility provided in the hostels is not up to the standard.
