My reason for choosing this college is based on the following factors: 1. Placement - KIIT guarantees 100% placement for CS branches and around 95% for non-CS branches. 2. Infrastructure - Infrastructure plays a very important role in education and holistic development. KIIT has a state of art infrastructure spread over an area of more than 700 acres with facilities for R&D, sports, entrepreneurship, etc. 3. Brand Value - KIIT has many top national and international accreditations which adds value to its degree. It is also ranked among the top engineering schools of this country. 4. Extracurricular Activities (Clubs and Society) - I always wanted to take part in societies and extracurricular activities in college and KIIT provides opportunities for everything. Whatever you may want to do, KIIT has a facility for everything. 5. Faculty - If not the best, KIIT has a good faculty with professors from IITs. 6. Review from seniors

The course curriculum is up to date with industry and is revised very frequently. Faculties are from IITs, NITS, and Foreign Universities, and most of them are Doctorates. Academics are good if not best and it is quite easy to score well in the exams for CS branches.

195 companies visited in 2020 with profiles for Software Engineer, Member of Technical Staff, Risk Analyst, etc. Companies include Amazon, Microsoft, VMware, Adobe, Dell, HP, Deloitte, Autodesk, HCL, IBM, McKinsey, Mu Sigma, Nissan, Reliance Jio, Robert Bosch, Samsung, etc. 20 companies offered CTC of Rs. 10 lakh and more. 100% of placement is achieved every year. The placement cell is very active. It starts preparing students from the second year. The Alumni network is strong and they do provide referrals if approached properly.

KIIT has the best campus life, events and extracurricular activities in North Eastern India after IIT Kharagpur. We have 1 annual fest (cultural and tech combined) called KIITFEST in December. It has star appearance like AR Rahman, Amit Trivedi, Sonu Nigam etc. The fest is in one word fabulous. It has a participation of around 30000 students from all over India. The tech fest is also one of the best with many competitions, workshops and industry seminars.

Infrastructure is one of the main perks of KIIT. They spend a lot of money on the infrastructure and its maintenance. KIIT is spread over an area of 700 acres with AC classrooms, state of the art sport and research facilities. It's a full WiFi campus. Recently a modern central library was added which can be compared with the libraries of Ivy League Schools.

Hostel rooms have options for 3 bed AC/Non AC and 2 bed AC/Non AC. All are shared rooms. Rooms are spacious and clean. Washrooms are also very clean, hygienic, and are washed daily. It's very easy to avail hostel facilities and there are many hostels, so I don't think there will be any shortage.
