Best college for Mechanical engineering

I took CAT course to join engineering and its best way to join at that time in any engineering colleges in Karnataka.

I was part of VTU (Visvesvaraya Technological University) 2nd year right after their inception in Karnataka. It was big change for college, faculty and students. Lot of changes in curriculum compared to previous zonal universities. VTU made sure courses are in-line with other larger universities in South India such as Anna university and NIT's.

No, it was not exist in that period. VTU was just exploring the possibilities and no Masters or PhD courses available at the time. It was launched recently by UGC to support students.

During our time, no or least support for placements provided by college. It was same in other colleges too. But now a days, college offers good industry collaboration and placement.

VTU FEST 2002 - Best event every student dream of to participate and get noticed in university level. It was an opportunity to be part of this event and also part of organising committee. We mobilised many shops to sponser this event.

College offers scholarship for poor students along with other govt sponsered funds. It is not best compared to few colleges in karnataka.

Campus life with best structure, labs, gym, sports utilities, competition. Our college has best cricket field compared to any other college which also hosts ranaji trophys. It also has best basket ball, volleyball court, shuttle batmitton court and full functioning gym. Best library and huge books for leasing books.

College has basic alumni network. Not very active but serves the purpose. I had opportunity to meet few years back, but not succesfull in recent years. Probably college need to concentrate more on it.

Faculty of college are best in subjects. Few of them are from esteem universities such as IIT Delhi, IISc. Most of them had PhD's and more than 15 years of experience. They are good in subject and teaching skills. We had good support for projects and indu
