Remarks

The best thing about the college is it's infrastructure. The campus is wide and elaborate. There are a whole new entertainment joints like cafe,malls within the campus which makes life in KIITS worthwhile. The facilities provided to the students are very good.

Entrance Preview

I took JEE Mains examination. My rank was 13868. I preferred over the other college as it is known for a quality education and has a good placement record.

Course Curriculum Overview

My course is electrical engineering. Course structure is beautifully divided into smaller pattern and course is awesome.

Internships Opportunities

I was placed at Tata Motors for internship. It was an awesome experience. I had a great time studying the mechanics of a vehicle under a great guidance of professionals.

Placement Experience

KIITS has the best placement record in Bhubaneswar. Last year on campus selection was almost 68%. Various companies like TCS,WIPRO,TATA,HCL,IBM,FORD,MICROSOFT, GOOGLE are among the many companies that come to KIITS to recruit students. Package go as high as Rs 3000000 by companies like GOOGLE. Average package is of Rs 300000-400000.

College Events

The college also indulges in a lot of tech fests like International film festival,annual university festival. The fests are large and various famous celebrities are invited. I had the honour of watching Mr Pranab Mukherjee,Sonu Nigam,Salim Merchant live in Kiits fest.

The fees of KIITS is Rs 1,20,000 per semester which includes hostel and mess.

Campus Life

College life in KITS is just a dream. I never feel like going home. Its always a fun being here. Gender ratio of KITS is good like almost 2:1 for boys:girls. Labs are excellent and well maintained with elaborate apparatus that suits various needs. Sports and other curricular activities have a special place in KITS. There is a great emphasis on sports like football,cricket,tennis etc along with regular matches.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are clean and well maintained. There are options for Ac and non Ac rooms. The rooms are spacious and large enough. Mess food is ok. There is non veg and veg options available separately.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

College seniors are very helpful in here. Its an Anti Ragging college so ragging isn't any issue here. Seniors help a lot. I made a lot of friends among them.

Faculty

Teachers are great. Our professor is a Ph.D and gold medalist in physics.

A well rounded campus life with industry oriented growth in college

Placement Experience:

placement at cv raman global university are good especially for cse/it . student becomes eligible from the 7th semester and compinies like TCS, infosys, wipro,capgemini, cognizant and ibm visit regularly. the highest package is around 15 lpa and average package about 4 to 5 lpa . aroud 80 to 90 % of cse/it student get placed. while non core branch recive fewer core offer but still get it/services opportunities. after my degree, i pland to start my carrier to higher studies for making me as a proffersor.

My first impression of the college I chose

Course Curriculum Overview:

The technical background and future influenced me to choose this course. The preparation for real-world applications or further academic pursuits are average. Theres no fair improvement needed in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The frequency of the exams are 2 sem exams and 4 quiz in class exams. The timings for sem exams are 3 hours while for quiz tests its 30 minutes. The difficulty level is average of all the exams

My Campus Life

Placement Experience:

After your 7th semi you will be eligible for campus placements Several reputed companies such as infosys,Wipro etc have visited our campus around my graduation time. The highest package offered was 6 LPA by infosys for the role of Data analyst while the average package stood at around 2.5 LPA to 3.2LPA . Approximately 60% or 6.5 CGPA secured students will be eligible for placements through campus drives. After obtaining my degree, I plan to Pursue higher studies like Mtech in a IIT'S or Niit hence i prepared for Gate 2 yrs .But meanwhile i was preparing for to get a job to take the responsibility of family so i started my carrer a a software developer.

KIIT has lost it's eminence and it's fame for quality education and good placement records

Placement Experience:

Placement record is not so good.. companies like Microsoft and Google have blacklisted KIIT due to poor performance and mismanagement by the KIIT in providing with the right candidates. KIIT shortlists students in basis of multiple tests taken on platforms like AMCAT and on that basics provides the profiles of best performing candidates to the companies invited for campus hirings regardless of the field and job specifications and requirements, so basically KIIT has a very below average performance Training and Placement Cell as they lack decision making and management skills to segregate candidates for hirings according to their skills and not by their general scores and CGPA. NOTE: Companies have shown least interest in KIIT for last 2 years and the poor performance of previous batches and mismanagement by KIIT authorities. KIIT promises 100% placements but that is actually far from reality.
