Entrance Preview

I always wanted to do something related to IT and Computers since childhood so after 12th i opted for Btech computer science though i could have opted for IT also but Computer Science seems better for me.

Course seems interesting and so are faculty.

Internships Opportunities

It was kinda good good as i was in one of the leading IT co,INFOSYS LTD,as a Trainee intern. Though there were many co Like TCS ,Cognizant,Wipro,IBM and other IT giants but Infosys for me was dream company for internship the whole experience of internship was awesome as i learned host of new things i even got a stipend of 9k during the tenure of my internship.

Placement Experience

Placements and Job Oportunities of KIIT were top notch quality and all the top companies were up for hiring. Out of our 490 students 400 were placed in A class cos offering upto 14 lakh per annum.

College Events

Although we were into studies more but we had a great entertainment all around the college days every festival or event was celebrated in a grand way in our grand campus. But the baap of all was the college fest it was humongously celebrated and huge gathering of students all around. Joining KIIT was the best thing of my life.

Campus Life

As i was in KIIT BHUBANESWAR students from all over india contributed to our colg 70% Boys 30% girls we had a great friends group so we had nice outing and partying at events. Though our college had less political environment and more of ethinic.

Hostel Facilities

My Hostel was little away from the campus as it was the newest blocks on the campus fully AC rooms equipped with wifi,rooms were neat and clean and food was average.

External Expense: Rs. 4000 - Rs. 7000

Faculty

Faculty members are very co operative and helpful and highly qualified. We were given interesting projects on Managing Online Websites which for me is the most challenging thing i had done.

A well rounded campus life with industry oriented growth in college

Placement Experience:

placement at cv raman global university are good especially for cse/it . student becomes eligible from the 7th semester and compinies like TCS, infosys, wipro,capgemini, cognizant and ibm visit regularly. the highest package is around 15 lpa and average package about 4 to 5 lpa . aroud 80 to 90 % of cse/it student get placed. while non core branch recive fewer core offer but still get it/services opportunities. after my degree, i pland to start my carrier to higher studies for making me as a proffersor.

My first impression of the college I chose

Course Curriculum Overview:

The technical background and future influenced me to choose this course. The preparation for real-world applications or further academic pursuits are average. Theres no fair improvement needed in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The frequency of the exams are 2 sem exams and 4 quiz in class exams. The timings for sem exams are 3 hours while for quiz tests its 30 minutes. The difficulty level is average of all the exams

My Campus Life

Placement Experience:

After your 7th semi you will be eligible for campus placements Several reputed companies such as infosys,Wipro etc have visited our campus around my graduation time. The highest package offered was 6 LPA by infosys for the role of Data analyst while the average package stood at around 2.5 LPA to 3.2LPA . Approximately 60% or 6.5 CGPA secured students will be eligible for placements through campus drives. After obtaining my degree, I plan to Pursue higher studies like Mtech in a IIT'S or Niit hence i prepared for Gate 2 yrs .But meanwhile i was preparing for to get a job to take the responsibility of family so i started my carrer a a software developer.

KIIT has lost it's eminence and it's fame for quality education and good placement records

Placement Experience:

Placement record is not so good.. companies like Microsoft and Google have blacklisted KIIT due to poor performance and mismanagement by the KIIT in providing with the right candidates. KIIT shortlists students in basis of multiple tests taken on platforms like AMCAT and on that basics provides the profiles of best performing candidates to the companies invited for campus hirings regardless of the field and job specifications and requirements, so basically KIIT has a very below average performance Training and Placement Cell as they lack decision making and management skills to segregate candidates for hirings according to their skills and not by their general scores and CGPA. NOTE: Companies have shown least interest in KIIT for last 2 years and the poor performance of previous batches and mismanagement by KIIT authorities. KIIT promises 100% placements but that is actually far from reality.
