Remarks
I have chosen this college because it is good as far as job opportunities are considered. There is a lot of scope in the field of computer engineering. Many companies are there which hires you if you have good knowledge about your course. Companies like IBM, SAPIENT, EXL SERVICES, SAMSUNG NOIDA, SAMSUNG BANGLORE, ARICENT, NEWZEN, and many others too came for recruitment. Package varied from 3. 5 to 7. 15 LPA. Later when college ended. ADOBE too hired 5 students one by one through an online exam and telephonic interview.
Course Curriculum Overview
Teachers were not helpful at all neither in academics nor for personal help. There are some old faculty members in the college, and we haven't seen them in our 4 years of college, we have just heard their names. The other staff in the college apart from the faculty were not helpful.
Placement Experience
Almost 60% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered was 11 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA. Companies like Adobe, Samsung, Yatra, BEL visited the campus for placements. Roles offered is Software engineer. College does not invite companies for an internship. Placements are the responsibility of students only. If they can contact the company and can invite them for college placements, then you have the chance to get college placements. Faculty members don't provide any help in this regard.
College Events
There was a restricted Wi-Fi facility in the campus. Only LAN was available in computer labs. The college was built in 1921, so the infrastructure is not in a very good condition. Gender ratio was maintained up to a quite good rate as the government give girls quota too. In every fest, different workshops were conducted like for Android learning, robotics workshop, etc. But boys and girls cannot have any party together. There are some restrictions too. HBTU had tonnes of extracurricular activities which includes formal and informal events.
