Likes
- Some teachers make students concepts clear and make them industry-ready. The semester exams are not so difficult,but the end of the semester can be considered difficult
- I have chosen this course as our college has great alumni base in it which will be greatly helpful to us in future.
- Many of events like Aagaz,Aadhyay,EDM nights,Clusters, and many intercollege sports fest, and some interbranch sports like HPL, CCPL, etc., are organised in college
Dislikes
- Campus has not Wi-fi,Labs computers are old. Classrooms,library and sports facility are average.
- Infrastructure here is so old since this college is over 100 years .
Course Curriculum Overview
Paint technology in HBTU is best in India and it provides more than 90 per cent placement to students. Curriculum looking good but not super amazing. Course cover many important engineering topics , giving students mixture of theory and practical knowledge which industry wants.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are available after 3rd year during the summer break that happens before final year. In core sector companies like Reliance, ExxonMobil ,L&T, Pepsico, Adani Wilmar etc. come. In computer science & IT most big companies like Google, Amazon ,Uber ,Microsoft these don't come in campus for internship or placement.
Placement Experience
After the 6th semester students become eligible for the placement. Companies like flipkart,wallmart, Asian paints, hero motors, maruti suzuki, bajaj paytm etc. visit in my college. There is almost 100 percent placement in my branch.
Fees and Financial Aid
the total academic fees for one year of btech is 135000 and 61000 for fee waiver students. There is UP government scholarship which college provide to students whose parents income is less than 2.5lpa.
Campus Life
The cultural and tech fest generally conducted in the month of december and january, and a sport fest in the month of february. Alumni meet is also conducted each year by the students of alumni committee, social groups like enterpreneur cell,sports council, cultural team, technical team, NSS council, hobby council etc.
Admission
I wanted to get an nit but I was only getting the nits on north-east side of india so I better chose HBTU in my rank. The college takes admission on the basis of jee mains exam, you can apply if you have 75 percent in boards.
Faculty
The ratio of faculty to student is 1:30. The faculty here is very cooperative and also provide notes for exams. There are 2 mid sem exams in between every semester exams. Most of the students pass the exam.
Interview Experience
I did not face any GD,interview or written test to get admission. I had only given jee mains as an entrance exam and based on its result I got to take admission in my college by counselling which college conduct itself.
Night Life
HBTU has two campuses which are separated by almost 2 km distance. Gym and hostel for 2nd year to final year students and some first years are in west campus. The gym here is not very much well equiped. And classes, library canteens are in east campus. College has 3 canteens in total.
