1) it is a sikh minority college and hence 65%seats are reserved for sikhs. Being a sikh therefore it was easy for me to get admission here. 2) Location- situated in Rajouri garden which ia near to my house and hence this became an extra benefit. 3)No attendance rule(now this is what every engineering student dreams of)

Everything is decided by the university. There is 1 sessional examination of 30 marks and one end term examination of 75 marks. 10 marks are internal (attendence, assignments etc)which are in your teachers hand. For practical 60marks of external and 40marks internal. Syllabus has not been updated from last many years and same text book with same content are taught. Industrial exposure is provided as regular seminars are conducted whete industry experts themselves come and interact. Excellent faculty, always ready to help. Specially puneet sir i have heard a lot about from seniors (teaches in 5th sem), and jyotsana mam who teaches foundations lf computer in 1st sem.

Many companies visit here for campus placement like cisco, TCS, infosys, HCL, Dell and many more. You must have relevant skill set to get good placement here as opportunity are not very much so try to grab what you get. Alumni of the college help a lot in providing jobs to students in the companies they are working. One of friends (senior) got internship in a company by randomly asking for a referall on instagram from one of college alumni working there.

If you are a sikh, you will feel home here. Here you dont make friends, you make brothers. Mass bunking lectures and sitting in the canteen, gossiping is a regular sight here. Your 4 years of college life here will always be in your heart. Lots and lots of hackathons, seminars, workshops by different college societies. One big annual fest with lots of events and famous punjabi singers performing.

Campus is 5 acre in area with 5 buildings. One building has been alloted to the polytechnic therefore we have 4 buildings with us. No wifi in the campus except computer labs. No sports ground but a small compound where students play everything from cricket to football to kabadii. But there is a sports complex near the college where you can practice sports. labs are all well equipped.

No hostel is available but PGs are there around the college so nothing to worry about accommodation. Price depends upon the type of room and no.of sharings.Avg-6000/month for a single sharing room with a bed, study table, almirah and cooler.
