Remarks

It is the first private college of assam. And being a private college it provide immense facilities for students. The faculties are really good. Placements are also pretty well. Hostel are located within the college campus. So it becomes very convenient for students to attend the classes.

Course Curriculum Overview

electrical and civil branches have many industrial visits often. Cse branch has also gone for industrial visit to Delhi. Also there are many seminars which are held at college itself. It really help the students

College Events

There are regular tech/cultural fest that happens. Euphuism is very famous in the state. Bollywood singers like Nakash Aziz, Siddharth Mahadevan, Nikhil D'Souza have came to perform. Also zubeen garg and papon. There are also many regional singers who have came. Every year inter college robotics, quiz, circuitronics, FIFA competitions are held.

Campus Life

Labs are very good. They are present in respective floors of each department. Some labs have air conditioning facility. There is a common library where you'll get every kind of book related to your syllabus. Apart from that each department have their respective departmental library. College sports week is held every year. There is a cricket/ football ground, volleyball groud, badminton court, indoor games etc. And the cafeteria is very big

Hostel Facilities

Hostel infrastructure is quite commendable. You get two seater room with two wardrobes for one student. There are washrooms in each floor. There is a common dinning hall for all. Lift facilities are also there. In the girls hostel there are two lifts. There is also a terrace. The rooms are spacious. You'll get four time of meal - breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. Food is really good.

Placement Experience:

For Campus placement students become eligible during the 3rd year of their course. Apollo hospitals came for the interview and more than 15 students were offered for placement. My plan is to get a work experience and go for further studies or to work abroad.

Remarks:

The location. It has an epic scenery. U never get bored even if ur outside of the college. There is a lake just on its outskirts which are beleived to be made by the mighty Ahoms who ruled Assam for 600 years. Then there is the Joydol(a temple dated back to the Ahom dynasty).These sceneries tempted me to take admission in this particular college.

Good college. Its the best college near my home. Its graded A by NAAC. This college have good result always under Dibrugarh University. Not so far from my home. A beautiful campas the college have. NIT SILCHAR is one of the technological institutes of national importance established in the year 1950, one of the core learning centre for sciences and technology in north east, gaining spectacular growth in last few years it has secured 10th place out of 31 colleges, having the Asia's largest digital library, your life circle of 7 lives would not be enough to compete all the books, the lush green environment and its location on southern side of kashi hills makes it a magnetic centre for knowledge thus lives. The patron of education and the spice of knowledgeable people from across the country under a 695 acres of land compressing of more than 5000 students is all I can describe my college, words fall short apart. Negative remark as such is its isolation from ROI it takes almost 1½ day to reach West Bengal from Silchar, road connectivity is less and even the climate is unpredictable here the funniest part is I have experienced all 3 seasons in a single day, morning it was raining at afternoon it was sunny and night I was chilled out
