Brief info about college

It is under top college category and campus is big. Education is best, higher study etc others recommend things are there. Admission process is for b. tech under wbjee board and this is start after (1week) declared wbjee result. After that decentralised counselling is also happening every year for remaining seats after wbjee counselling. I'm choosing this college because of my interest in chemical technology department and this department in this college have better placement. Reason behind choosing this course is I'm interested and knowing previously about this course and infrastructure. Faculty is so big band very specialised. All the faculty has highly educated and teaching method is good understable. There is 8 semester and each semester has one internal or mid term and other is final semester. Semester exam you need very focus and study otherwise you get supply. But not very difficulty.

I have get johnson tiles(mumbai) my internship stipend about 5-7k but due covid pandemic we have not go to the internship. But according to our senior experience it will be great after doing internship there project about tiles, advanced ceramic.

From end of the 7th semester students become eligible for campus placement. In our chem. Tech department companies like holdia petrochemical, jonson tiles, trl kroasaki ltd, ifgl ltd etc are take student by on campus placement. Avg. package is 4-5L/year and max. 6-10L/year. Above 70% student got job and some specialisation have 100% placement like ceramic engineering.

In our college per semester fees is 3622/- and examination fees 500/- . Scholarship like svmcm 60000/- per year for west bengal board student only and other scholarship are also available. And also half fees and full fees rebate is there you everyone can apply this by the given condition. End of the course maximum campus job students are got it.

Annual fest is conducted in month of December to january time. And tech fest also conducted every end of the semester. Each department have seperate library and one big library is there for everyone. Enough to have basic amenities in classroom and also water, wash room is available. And sports and extra curricular activities present by different section. Calcutta university facebook page also present for important Festival or big announcement etc.

Hostel rooms are very big and all the required facilities like study table, chair and bed etc is there. Meal quality is very good and healthy. Fish is every day lunch time, egg everyday dinner and meat 2-3 or more (occasionally) day per week. For admission in hostel you have to fill application form and attach document. And also pg are available for 1st year student (near chingrighata, kolkata) .
