Remarks

It is the top college for b.com in tricity. It not has good infrastructure and various courses to offer but also some good extra curricular activities to take part in as well. The professors are also well qualified.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is good. The syllabus is totally upto date. The industrial exposure is not so good as there are not many chances that we are provided with in this field. The faculty of ggdsd college is well qualified and they have a good experience of teaching in their bag.

Placement Experience

The placement opportunities are not upto the mark as not all students get the on campus placement. Moreover the companies that come for recruitment are like deloite, wipro etc. These are all good profile and well settled companies.

College Events

The college holds various fest as part of different clubs. Like the commerce and management club of ggdsd college holds panash event every year. The different clubs like enactus ggdsd and rotract also conduct events throughout the year. The campus life is not as good as compared to a college situated in a university.

Inside of PGI chandigarh from bsc nursing point of view.

Placement Experience:

Students from 4rth year are eligible for placement. Pgi provide job for it's own students. Bond system is here. Students can apply for foreign jobs as pgi provide their degree and a sheet with completed number of hours as in clinical we need 100% attendance. Students who don't want to work in pgi can go to different hospitals as pgi is a recognized university they will get job easily. 80% students get job in pgi. As many new blocks are building here for future, they will require large amount of nursing officers so they will give job to their own university students. Some senior got their job with a high amount as salary with health benefits, hostel allowanc, travel allowance, and tax is included. Working hour are less here, people can switch there shifts with there workmates as per there convince. My plan is to work here as a nursing officer and do my master degree from pgi itself.

Elgibility was easy as people for any background rather say commerce , arts , non medical or medical . College doesnt have any entrance exam for admission.Students are admitted through centralized admission under DHE chandigarh. Eligibiltity of my course was just on my 12th class's board percentage. You can find the application form, application fees and application dates on the official website of GGDSD COLLEGE, CHANDIGARH There are reservered seats for specific castes although i am from general category so i did not get any type of reservation. The exams are held every 5 to 6 months after the semester end. And they are held from 9:30am to 12:30pm and 2 pm to 5pm.
