good experience all faculty and staff members are very friendship. They have good infrastructure. Food and loading was very chip. Fully wi-fi campus.college panting, gardening,hostel quality all r very good. This college in kolkata,West Bengal so non vege food cooked more. We enjoyed non vege very much. Bad experience most of colleges in WBUT depends on software company for placements. So it do not seems good for the students who wants a technical job for faculty points of view it is nod bad but it is very good for applied electroniocs and instrument engineering department also good for CSE and ECE but it is not so good for ECE and food.
Entrance Preview
I took IEEE scored 157 mark my rank was 57214. This college in a memeber of JIS group and JIS was well reputated at the time.
Course Curriculum Overview
Very good my department. It was same for all departments like ECE in 1st two semesters then they teach there special courses according to his syllabus.
Placement Experience
As Wbut college depends mostly on the software company so depends on their collaboration also. It was not bad till 2008 but it was very less in 2010-2012. Now they are trying to do better to mentain their reputation.
College Events
Fresher welcome party college fest many cultural program as kolkata popular for itfarewell We enjoy durga puja,kali puja,Holi etc all withh friends in college campus. There is a one month holiday for the best festival of kolkata that is for durgapuja.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is very feasible in WBUT university. It was only 201000 for B.Tech courses. Students have to pay around 25000 in each semester. They don't take any extra charge for other things like arranging training program,soft skill class,industrial visit etc. When we compare it with other university out of from Bengal then definitely it is very less. It is also feasible when we see from infrastructure point of view.
Fees and Financial Aid
College provide a scholarship for poor students It is provided to 10% students in each class. Selection of students decided on the basis of parent income and and interview. They do not do any partiality in the selection of students.
Campus Life
Fantastic there is a big ground. We were used to play cricket,football table tennis running walking every thing.
Hostel Facilities
I would like to rate it 10 out of 10. Because it was so chip. They took only 2500 for each month and they provided breakfast,lunch,snacks and dinner. Also some special food on occasion. Wi-fi campus.
Alumni/Alumna
They call for the alumni program every years. They arrange a cultural program also on the occasion. They discus how to build a carrier and senior are helpful.
Exam Structure
B.Tech is a 8 semester course. They conduct two unit test in each semester and then a semester exam of 70 marks. There is also lab exam they follow instruction very sincerely.
Faculty
Overall good but best in my department. It was not to the mark in electronics communication department. But also very good for IT & cse. College maintain the AICTE rule as it says that faculty should have a master degree.
