Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is currently based on the syllabus of 1990-2000's, hence there is not much scope for learning engineering as a whole purely based on textbooks of university syllabus. Given that the students do something extra, engineering would help flourish them, our industrial exposure is not much but still we are keeping good with syllabus and extracurriculars activities.

Placement Experience

Most of the mass recruiting companies are visiting in our college as they visit in any other colleges. Also some particular companies do come for college placements. The average placement salaries are comparatively higher than that of other colleges.

College Events

There are two main events, one technical and one cultural according to odd and even semesters. Both of these events are fruitful as we get to know a lot and outside world given that we have a lot of fun attending them. There are a lot of different seminars and competitions arranged by the college as well as the students which are interesting.

Campus Life

The campus infrastructure of FCRIT is very good. There are dedicated labs for each and every subject according to the requirements. Internet connectivity is provided inside college, the library provided is very useful as most of the relevant books are available there, sports facilities are also excellent.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement cell is quite good. Students are eligible for placement in their last semester of course. There are many great companies that come like JP MORGAN, EY, KPMG. Average package of the college is 5-6 lacs but there are high packages according to the skills of the student. I'd like to go for master's after BMS. Different kind of roles are there for students to apply according to their interests in all the fields like finance, marketing, HR, consulting. There is training provided by the college for placemens and there is personal training for individual company interviews if required by students.

Since every year 300 students pass out and 150-175 of them get jobs from the college placement and the average salary offered is around 6-7 lakhs. Highest though last year was of 20LPA.

Bookworms are welcome, engineers are not

The eligibility was cet and jee marks based only. The last round cutoff for this college in mechanical was around 80%ile in mhtcet. But it was higher than 95%ile in comps for general. The admission process was easy just bring a cheque and fill up few forms and give documents and done. I had choosen many other colleges over this i even got accepted in mit wpu and talen admission but i am a local mumbai person and i woshed to stay here so i gave up that admission. I also didnt get admission in the crce bandra due to only a small difference in the cutoff. And i had no idea about the ACAP rounds. I understood about acap and tried taking admission in vesit chembur in robotics but idk i changed my mind and stayed in fcrit because i thought i dont like coding at all and thus staying in core mechanical would help me sustain my engineering life....Read More
