Remarks

Hinduja College of Commerce is one of the most esteemed colleges in Mumbai. I was inclined towards studying logistics and supply chain management. Hinduja college had the course name Bcom in Transport Management which includes subjects such as logistics and supply chain management, inventory management international trade etc and hence I was inclined towards taking admission at Hinduja College of Commerce.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is very well planned. The curriculum is set up with latest concepts and trends of the market. The teachers as well as the course coordinator are very helpful and motivate students all the time. Last year the college organised a research activity in association with Artis Company for first year and second year student. The college also organises BTM Analogue which is a inter class competition designed especially for building interpersonal and interconnectivity amongst the BTM students. Guest lecture are also provided to students on Sustainable Supply Chain Management.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 18136 per year

Placement Experience

There is a placement cells which organizes seminars, workshops and regular classes for the students to give them knowledge about companies. The salary package ranges from 2 lakh per annum to 6 lakh per annum. Leading companies which offer jobs to students are Motilal Oswal, Deloitte, Capegemini, Teach For India, Times Media, Jio Studio, CNN18, Ernst and Young and many more.

College Events

The students of Hinduja college organises TEDx Hinduja College which is a global initiative taken up by the students to empower the local voices and give their ideas a global platform to inspire millions of people. PANAAH is the annual inter collegiate social initiative and festival of Hinduja college of commerce in which colleges across Maharashtra participates. The festival witness a footfall of 4000 plus students. PANAAH have an array of events lined up to cater every taste be it performing arts, sports, IT, fine media, management skills. Also the college conducts Beach clean up drives, eco friendly Ganesha campaign etc.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. For campus placement students from 3rd year for my course are eligible. Highest package for my course is 3 LPA. Companies like oberois , hyatt etc . If I'll get better placements then I'll go for it otherwise I'll do masters.

Placement cell is quite good. Students are eligible for placement in their last semester of course. There are many great companies that come like JP MORGAN, EY, KPMG. Average package of the college is 5-6 lacs but there are high packages according to the skills of the student. I'd like to go for master's after BMS. Different kind of roles are there for students to apply according to their interests in all the fields like finance, marketing, HR, consulting. There is training provided by the college for placemens and there is personal training for individual company interviews if required by students.

My life in KPB Hinduja College of Commerce.

So as i want to do BCA and mumbai university not provide this course so i did BCA from ymcou so basically i had not much options in colleges.
