Remarks

Modern syllabus, heavy focus on academics, ideal for students preparing for GATE exam. Helpful seniors, no cases of ragging or bullying. Placements are good, almost all qualified students get placed MNCs like TCS, CTS, Wipro etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

Syllabus very much modern. We are currently being taught AI/ML in our 2nd year itself. Industrial exposure can be achieved if the student is motivated enough. Many patents were also published by students from our college.

Placement Experience

Companies that visits the college include TCS, CTS, Mindtree, Bobble AI(10 lpa), etc. Adobe also visited our campus last year with a CTC of 45 lpa. Alumni Network is good, many of our seniors got placed through in companies like Mastercard, Rakuten, EY, etc. Riddhi Dutta is currently placed in Acresium(De Shaw), Amitrajit Bose in Rakuten, pratik Goel is doing his internships from EY.

College Events

In UEMK, there are mainly two big events, one is the tech fest Urekon and the other one is the cultural fest Ecstasia. In Urekon, many teams from colleges such as Techno India SaltLake, BP Poddar etc participates in the competitions. There's also many gaming events. Ecstasia is also good, we get to see many amazing performances.

Campus Life

There's wifi but it's restricted, library is big with many books, labs equipments are all modern and functioning. We do not have a play ground here, instead there's open place in basement and one can play there. All essential sports commodity like cricket bat, ball, football are available. Table tennis boards are also available to use.

Should I Choose IEM.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Heritage Law College is Lovely!!

Placement Experience:

Number of students who have been placed is far less than what it should be ideally. Kolkata is a paradise for law practice as it is the largest city of India and lawyers have always been in demand here. Still only 30% of the students are placed here and that's a big issue considering the name of our college.

Various companies come to this college for on campus placement Average package= 1000000 Highest package=2200000 Various multi national company and other big and small companies visit this college for on campus placement. Most of the students also get placement opportunities whether large or small package The opportunity is given to all degree whether it be bcom or bcom hons . Any student who does not get placed can easily use the degree to get a high paying off campus placements and to go to any good college or stay in this college for their post graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is backdated and should be improvised as it doesn't give any exposure of present industry knowledge. The frequency of exams is that exams are held after 6 months on semester basis and are easy to pass and majority of the students pass this semester easily.

Decent government college which needs to improve.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is obviously outdated and the knowledge we get through it, is bookish and does not apply to present industry methods. This way we are given no exposure to the real life industry knowledge. The exams are held on semester basis after every 6 months and are easy and manageable.

If you come to this college this college is good the teachers are friendly and you will get the campus from the college if you study hard.

You can take admission in UEM Kolkata through IEMJEE Entrance Test or Direct Admission by giving 10,000/-. College review

Provide decent jobs to most students. Faculties are helpful and teach well. You can issue 3 books at a time from the library once your library card is made. Classes are held to enhance your communication skills. A lot of items in the canteen and cafeteria. No ragging. There is no ground to play. Very strict rules, has a lot of restrictions. Most students call it a jail, cause you cannot bunk classes. But believe me, it will shape you into a good human being and you will also get placed if you put your effort.
