This college is one of the best Govt. college after IIT Bbsr,IIIt bbsr and NIT Rourkela.This college is known for its placement and fest.People are placed in NALCO with package above 10 lakhs,so gave OJEE Exam and took admission

Course Curriculum Overview

Teachers were helpful but they can be more cooperative in student matters, they should try to give some practical knowledge alongside the theory part that is already vastly present in the course. The curriculum is relevant, but in my view, the course can be a bit specific to make students industry-ready.

Class Size: 43Course Fees: INR 240000 per year

Placement Experience

Around 60 percent of students were placed in my course in various companies. The highest package was around 3.5. while the average was around 3-3.2 Lacs per annum. Arvind, Vardhaman, Aditya Birla, Century Enka are some of the companies that are top recruiters.

College Events

Wi-Fi is available, labs are available but the infrastructure could improve a lot. So there is a lot of scope of improvement in that aspect. The classroom infrastructure can also be improved up to some extent. The quality of th hostel is quite good with good food and Wi-Fi.One of the best fest in the city and good clubsrunned by seniors.

* I had chosen to do mechanical engineering because I had some bond with machines and it's designing and was also aware with the scopes of mechanical engineering. * In real world the curriculum helped me a lot and still it is helpful, currently I'm preparing for position of junior engineer and there it is quite helpful for me. * I don't think any improvement is required in the course curriculum and teaching methods as everything was good at its place and it's also the responsibility of us (students) to know our curriculum thoroughly and give our best. * Exams were conducted at an interval of 6 months and as said earlier exams conducted were moderate level not too difficult or easy and with studies it can be cleared easily

Placement Experience:

The placement is good with highest package being 19 lpa from JP Morgan to lowest is 3 lpa the average package is around 5 lpa . Students are eligible for placement tests from 6 sem as pwc comes for their launchpad program in 6th sem only. Companies like accenture, tcs, Infosys, cognizant, PWC, JP Morgan visit our college. Majority students around 82 percent gets placed in these companies. My plan after college is to work for any of these companies.

A Good University

First of all mainly because of the location it is situated. It is in the Captial Region.
