Remarks

I got this institute as per my score in webjee entrance exam. I choosed this college because as per my entrance exam course I was getting my desired stream which is CSE (Computer Science and Engineering). The environment is not that nice it's away from proper city it is about 8km away from proper city.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our course syllabus is upto date and the faculties are good but the exposure to industry r not that good not that much exposure so it is a disadvantage of this college I cannot mention the name of the faculties but there r some really good teachers as well as not that nice teacher.

Class Size: 66Course Fees: INR 430000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement process is good but the company visits our college are all service oriented companies and the job referrals are not that much done and there is no batch who did startup actually

Campus Life is good our technical fest is good nice it you can see pretty much every type of guys who have diff knowledge in different fields and our cultural fest is known as one of the good cultural fest among some of the engineering colleges across kolkata

Our campus is having 2 building one is for biotechnology department and the other building have CSE IT and ECE our college have library and wifi equipped and the lab equipment r average but recently it is updated with new equipments

Placement Experience:

At JGEC,campus placements begin mostly from the 6th/final year semester,when students become eligible .I recent years many well-known companies have visited such as Pinnacle Infotech,Synnova Gears & Transmissions Pvt.Ltd,,TCS,Jyesta corporate Entity and many more.The highest package was around 54 LPA form Google ,While the overall average is 10.2LPA.Many students also take internships, industrial training or prepare for higher studies(GATE) rather than accepting direct placement immediately.The exact percentage of student getting palcement is no where.But last year the percentage placed is 70%.

Placement opportunities are overall good, students can apply for the placement form 5th and 6th semester and can get PPOs's companies like Microsoft, google, amazon comes during the placement season and every year, so many students get placed even with a package greater than 2cr INR. Overall the placement percentage of the college is good for both the core and non-core courses almost near 90%. All the students in there 3rd year i.e. in their 5th or 6th semester are elegible for campus placements.
