Amrutha V's Review On St Teresa's College (Autonomous), Ernakulam

Remarks :

As far as my subject is concerned ( English literature) this is one of the best colleges which have the best faculties and no college in Kerala has this much exposure in different fields especially arts.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum during my course had some mistakes as our college became autonomous just 4 years before. So the syllabus was not upto mark. However they have changed it and has made a better and good syllabus for our juniors. We've got the best faculties we could ask for.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, I have. I did an internship with My Captain. I haven't received the stipend yet because of this pandemic situation. My stipend is around 3500. There's no correct amount because we get stipend based on our performance.

Placement Experience :

As far as my subject is concerned, we don't have any placements. However B. com students and other management course students have placements. Many IT based companies have approached our college. Some of my friends have also been placed in places like banglore, Hyderabad etc.

College Events :

Campus Life was great with friends. Our campus has a lot of restrictions which we students didn't like much. Apart from that the celebrations we have in our college is the best. We get opportunity to celebrate everything with colours in mind and joy in hearts. There's not a single day in which there's one program or other by different departments in our college. In short, it was a life to be experienced.

Campus Life :

We have our infrastructure always maintained. All the toilets are maintained clean by the staffs and we have a very spacious and useful library. Also all the classes have enough benches and desks. Our college has three different canteens in which one is an ice-cream parlor, othe is a cafe and the other canteen.

Hostel Facilities :

Actually, I was in the college hostel just for 1 year after that I moved out to other hostel. If it's about the college hostel, they always maintained the place clean but food was never satisfactory. But the other hostel which I stayed( YWCA) was really good. Everything was really good including food, infrastructure, our curfew and we even had a small garden where we could sit to make our mind fresh.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards we could attend placement interviews and many companies used to approach our college but mostly IT companies as I was in civil dept the construction companies were very less or NIL. In our batch, most of the students got placed and many offer letters but the only disadvantage was the offers were not from the core companies.
