Remarks

Management is great. They will listen to everyone in case you are under some trouble or are facing issues related to the college. Teachers are available all the time. They would be more than happy to help the students with studies or in any other way.

Entrance Preview

I gave K-CET and got a rank of 894. Location of the college and placement history had a good record and hence I chose this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Languages like C, C++, Java, other scripting languages, Finite Automata, Computer networks, computer organization, etc. Electives were Artificial Intelligence

Internships Opportunities

Very few companies come to offer internship in 3rd year. The ones offering internship in 4th year gives around 20k on an average per month. Companies that offered internships were SAP Labs, Cisco, Tesco, etc

Placement Experience

Placement opportunities are great. Lot of companies with varying packages come to the college. They offer around 4-5 lpa on an average. Highest package goes till 12 lpa. Almost everyone in CS was placed. College has a great placement record.

College Events

Technical and cultural events are common in our college. They keep happening regularly. Annual college fests were great to take part in our college. Our college also holds VTU fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's a little expensive. 1.45 lakhs per annum for non CET students. And 35k per annum for CET students. This covers everything except the hostel charges.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships for toppers of the CBSE board are available. Scholarships for defense personnel is available.

Campus Life

Lot of activities are available. Sports activities like cricket, football, basketball facilities are available. Apart from this, lot of debating opportunities are also available for the students.

Hostel Facilities

Mess food was decent enough. Rent for hostel was around 65k per annum. All other facilities were good enough.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

There is an online alumni network available and you can connect to seniors pretty easily. The alumni network was formed 3-4 months earlier and I am already connected with a lot of people.

Exam Structure

No day I remember was hectic in the college, apart from one in 30 days. There is very little pressure on students in CSE branch. We had the time of our lives.

Faculty

It was mix of experienced and fresh teachers. Don't expect the teachers to teach everything. You need to try hard to gain as much as possible. The experienced teachers did their best to help you.

Academic Curriculum- they constantly upgrade the subjects which needs to be taught
Labs - very well equipped labs for all branches.
You can choose to drop a lab and do it in winter break or summer break

Dislikes

very less holidays only 3rd saturday is holiday and they dont give holidays for jayantis and all
Auto drivers near the college. this is pure daylight robbery

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

I have been from diploma background, after diploma I joined this course as later entry (direct admission to 2nd year). In diploma also, I have studied the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) course. As I know the basic concepts about this course, it is easy for me now to understand the concepts.

Faculties are highly experienced and ready to help all the time
Good infrastructure with well equipped labs, library, sports
Adds extra curricular activities like teaching AI and other trending topics in college

Dislikes

Washrooms need to be clean and good to use especially for girls hygiene it has to be good
Hostel food is not that great and needs improvement in the quality of food
Thought schedule everyday hard to cope up with everything

Good the teachers find the best ways to make the subject interesting and teach us in the most interesting way they will help the weak students to feel the subject as a cake walk and help all the students out in the same way

Infrastructure is well established and good
Security for Students is very high and no ragging
Food is very good and feels like a restaurant

Lack of events and only the educational events
Only one playground for cricket and also remaining
security are very rude but some are bit friendly

Placement Experience:

Yes our college provide placements, from final year that is 7th semester they will allow for placements, Many companies visited our college like tcs, Cognizant, indegene, microland etc and average package is 400000 and highest is 1500000 it given by oracle, Nearly 60 percent students got that is either in both technical and non technical jobs, my plans to join a IT company

Good Learning

Likes

Faculties are really well experienced by character all the faculties are humble and polite.
The college has good Infrastructure and the campus is surrounded with Trees it is very peaceful campus.
Placement support are really good with lab facilities where skill rack, NPTEL, Infosys springboard, MongoDB, IBM platform is provided for level up our skills.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are fairly good and students become eligible for campus placements from the final year, usually from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the campus every year and offewre opportunuties in different roles such as software developer,analyst, technical support, and other entry-level positions.

Campus Life and Social Interaction : Vibrant campus Life : The campus offer a dynamic environment with multiple student clubs , technicals societies , cultural fests ,and sports events students engaage in regular extracurricular activities.
Faculty Experience and Mentorship : Experienced faculty : The faculty at SVIT is often described as appreciable , knowledge, and supportive . professors are well - versed in there respective fields ,and many have industrial experience .
Placement support : Strong placement record: SVIT hasa good placement record ,with many students securing in top - tier companies like TCS , Wipro , Accenture, Infosys,. The college guidence through placement offers traning .

Dislikes

Collaborative Environment : Group project and assignment is core elements of curriculum with many course designed to involve group work and collaborative projects.
Cultural Activities : Are not celebrated more in semister
Collaborative learning : Communication barrier in larger teams especially working with different backgrounds or academic disciplines.

Placement Experience:

The placement at SVIT Bengaluru area quite impressive , especially in the technical field like Computer science, Civil, Electrical and Machanical Engineering.The college has a dedicated placement cell that students get the best opportunities for internship and final placement .At SVIT , Students typically become eligible for campus placement from the 7 th semester . However, the placement cell starts preparing students for interview and skill development from the 5 th semester onwards though mock interview , resume - building workshops , and personality development session.SVIT Bengaluru has strong industry connection , especially in the IT and engineering sectors .some of the companies that regularly visit the campus recruitment includes. TCS , Infosys , Wipro, Congnizant, Accenture,IBM, Capgemini ,Tech Mahendra , Amazon.High- package : The highest salary package offered in recent year was around 15 - 18 lakhs per annum for candidates . Average package: The average salary package offered is ar8 4- 5 lakhs per annum. The placement rates at SVIT is consistently high . On average , around 80-85% of eligible students get placed in good companies.

Less fees but wonderful knowledgeful experience

Particular teaching subject wise was not so clear.
Placement training courses coding wise was not that good.
Water facility sometimes was not good but it was ok nothing to dislike

Placement Experience:

1. From 7th semester onwards placement activities start. But from 1st semester itself they start training. 2. Windcare, Rinexx, Wipro, Infosys, A1 fence, Microdegree, Intellipath and so on. 3. Intellipath offers 10 lakh per annum and so on. 4. 85 percent students where getting placed. 5. To start my own venture.

An honest review

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.

I had also applied for RV College of Engineering but i got admission in M.S.Ramaiah Institute of Technology as i got the seat in this college during KCET allotment due to cutoff and rank variation i could not get it. College is good, faculty teaching is good with experienced ones. Coming to college infrastructure, the library is so good, labs were aslo good. Coming to placements side...for chemical engineering there are no good placements....its all the gate score which u need to focus on.
