Remarks

USICT is one of the best engineering colleges in Delhi. It offers CSE, IT and ECE course, and is the best amongst all the colleges in IPU. It is present in the main campus of IP University. Some of the most reputed companies in IT recruit students from here. Companies like Samsung, Amazon, Axtria, TCS etc came for placement during my time. Almost all the students got placed with an average CTC of 4L.The curriculum is extensive. All the subjects that a student in that particular course should know are covered very well. The faculty is well experienced and I learnt a lot of them.

Some of the most reputed companies in IT recruit students from here. Companies like Samsung, Amazon, Axtria, TCS etc came for placement during my time. They offered profiles of Data analyst, assistant System engineer, Software developer etc. Almost all the students got placed with an average CTC of 4L.

College Events

We had annual technical fest as well as cultural fest called Anugoonj. Anugoonj was a very famous event which was held for all the IP affiliated colleges. It was conducted for 3 days in the month of February. Well famous Singers, musicians and rock bands were invited for the event. Some of them included Euphoria, Indian Ocean, Parikrama, Saleem Sulaiman, Javed Ali etc. It's a big event which attracts thousands of students. It also organised all kinds of competitions to showcase our talents and the winners were awarded.

I feel like the curriculum is a little out dated and boring but due to a good faculty it makes the course more worthwhile The curriculum is very text based and less practical and more emphasis on bookish knowledge persists still .

Placement Experience:

Students after completing third year are eligible for placement. Placements start before starting of fourth year, and it requires students to have no backlogs in any subjects. However companies can imply their own rules to filter the students such as minimum CGPA criteria. But placements of our college is one of the best placement for a non-IIT college, despite having so many student intake.

The admission process is entirely based on the NIMCET entrance exam. One should achieve a good rank in the NIMCET entrance exam in order to get admission to this college. The eligibility for getting admission in MCA is that you should have math's or computer science in your bachelors and have got at least 55% marks in your bachelors. If I talk about reservations, IPU reserves around 60% of the seats for Delhi students.
