One of the premiere institute for hotel management in India. Also, it is a central government institute so you have to pay a less amount than private ones. So you can get best knowledge regarding the course. Also, according to various comparison websites the institute ranks between 3-5.

We are studying the course of 2010 but some parts of it are updated, only some. 17 weeks of industrial training is required by the course in which one have to work their ass off for like 12-17 hours a day. If you are determined to do this course then only I would recommend you to join the course but if you are thinking you will have fun or the course if easy than you are wrong. As it is one of the premiere institute of India most of the faculty is generous and want you to learn more stuff. There are teachers wanting you to be the best and can influence you to fullest.

Most of the reputated hotels recruitment takes place in the institute. The placement is process depends upon hotel policy. They can recruit in 3 stages i.e. Group discussion, written test and personal interview. This is the general process and most of them follows. Some just go for group discussion and personal interview. Placement department works hard and cares for every student.

As it is a government institute there are no such events happens in universities specially the private ones. But some of the events like annual function, teachers day, farewell, fresher's and other general events takes place. Extracurricular activities related to the course are conducted by the institute but I am the kind of one who is least interested in it.

Infrastructure of institute is not so good. No sports facilities, no wi-fi and sometimes reminds you of the school. But the tools required are present in the lab. Library is ok, you can find relevant material there. Hostel is given according to merit. It means that it is not for everyone.

Hostel is given on merit basis. You have to share your room with 2 other students. You have to score good to claim a seat in hostel. But if you are from one of the reserved categories then it would be little easy to claim it.
