Remarks

It was Highly reputed college, especially at that time.Apart from its reputation,it was just hour away from my home.Also it's fees was highly affordable.The competition is very tough and most students you'll find will have jee rank under 1 lakh.

I think course syllabus could've been lot better.However,if you are looking to crack gate in near future then it's ideal college for you.Nearly all students of computer branch are obsessed about cracking gate.Now coming back to drawbacks,you'll have to learn coding language or other skills all by yourself.However there are many students who turned out to be great coders.

Placement is decent but it is not great. You'll have tcs and tech Mahindra which will now provide packay around 3.2 lakhs. However most computer engineer students are more obsessed about gate score as compared to getting placement.Gate competition is very high.

College Events

There are various sports events which you can participate.there are also festive events like colloseum etc which takes place yearly.There are technical competition where can you prove your skills.for computer games,counter strike 1.6 and cs go is quite popular.

Campus Life

Infrastructure is good.wifi facility was great at our times.library is also good.sports facilities are also good.For a good government college,it's infrastructure is good.sports facilitiy is good but don't get your hopes high.infrastructure and sporting facilities are good but not that great.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel infrastructure is good.Patel bhawan hostel or tagore bhawan are usually hostel for freshers in engineering.hostel fees is usually around 15000 per sem while tuition fee is around 20000.Patel bhawan is quite popular hostel. And Shivalik bhawan is often touted as best hostel.

A transformative journey; my experience at ICFAI UNIVERSITY

Placement Experience:

The placement structure is not good for law department, it is really very good for MBA and other department but definetly not for law. it is not like they don't provide placement at all but instead if there are 150 students and 80 students have opted for placement then only 20 to 25 students get placement which maximum goes to 7lakh per annum.

Iit roorkee provide better Placement opportunities than any other college. It has it's placement and intership cell . I applied for agriculture college and was confirmed admission, but I was more inclined towards animal biology than plant . I tried for a medical College too , but my score didn't permit me to score a seat there. The admission process is through a pen and paper mode exam ( objective type ) containing questions from physics , chemistry, biology, general studies, aptitude and reasoning . Some students can also apply via the counselling conducted by the VCI on the basis of their NEET score . The eligibility criteria is 1.
