UG AT VETERINARY COLLEGE GBPUAT

Course curriculum spans around 5.5 years with the ladt year having internship programme. The course curriculum very realistically trains you to encounter the problems you are going to face in the field Course curriculum is strictly followed and all the extra classes and dedicated credit hours are given by tge college. All the labs in course curriculum are confucted in orderly manner. I don't like the hectic schedule we have in the course curriculum with soo many credit hours just given in 3rd and 2nd year whereas 1st and 4th year are comparitively free

The college at the last year provides a frdicated internship at the college hospital and it is mandatory for all the students to complete internship with satisfactory performance. 15 casual leaves and stipend of ?3000 is provided during the cours of internship

There are plenty ot government and private jobs in veterinary sector if a person is having good knowledge of the subject he can have upto 8 to 10 LPA of income package after completing of ug and after few years of experience the income may raise to 15 to 17 LPA . There is no dedicated placement cell in the college for veterinarians but different state govt , army , paramilitary forces, different central and state govt conduct inductions for permanent employment of veterinarians . Employment is almost guaranteed after completion of this degree .

Fee of course: ?108000, along with the hostel snd mess charges. Students belonging to category of SC ST DPW UEW ORPHANS. Get schorship benifts The scholarship is transferred to their bank account or is adjusted in next year's fee scroll Students from VCI also recieve benifits of fee concessions

University has a recreational centre called National agricultural Higher education program conplex which is sponsored by DST tech Many students run societies are in university focusing on different aspects Many students are part of blue cross society run by proffesors and blooming veterinarians There is a state of the art stadium built within the university having facilities to play most of the sports like lawn tennis table tennis badminton hockey squash track and feilds. Etc. a good gym is also in the university Class rooms have good Av interfaces and theatre like arrangements for lecture

The room has a table chair almirah and bed for each students the rooms are nice and the quality of the meal is nice plus the menu is overall good . Hostel registration is too easy as it is done through forms and under supervision of the warden I live in a hostel not in a pg or locality

I choose this college as i wanted to pursue something in the field of medical / veterinary science . I always wanted to save lives of animals/people and was quite fascinated by how organisms function and how animals survive. I found biology very interesting during my school time so I prepared for pre medical examination and got admission in this college by giving entrance exam of the state university i had a very meritorious rank which lead my admission to this course . I also applied for the course of mbbs in HNBMU but got short of one mark in the merit and was not able to get admissions there . Admission process in this college was quite smooth and the document verification was done by the dedication registar which is highly efficient in keeping records and doing registration of students.

The faculty to student relationship is upto the mark . The student to faculty ratio is also good and upto 3 faculty members are there for each course . The name of the facilities i like is Dr AK Upadhayay, Dr S.P singh ,Dr R Houzha , Dr Anuj Tiwari ,Dr AH Ahmed , DR Rajeev Ranjan , Dr AK Das , etc All the faculty members are highly qualified and foreign returned they have very high knowledge of the subject Teachers have very positive attitude and are very helpful They are very committed towards the research and have done major breakthroughs in the veterinary federation Sometimes teachers also invite students to their residence at the time of festivals where students enjoy quality time with their families it is a very homely experience Their are no such faculty which i dislike the only good thing about college is great faculty

No group discussion or any interview was conducted while the time of admission. The admission was entirely merit based. And i prepared for the enterence exam which had physics chemistry biology and reasoning in the question paper. Biology consisted of most of the questions
