Course Curriculum Overview

5

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness the curriculum is great I would say... The institute follows strict guidelines of VCI... The curriculum helps us in both veterinary and animal science field, also helps us to develop a sense of discipline and responsibility towards society

Internships Opportunities

5

The students serve for a minimum of 2 months in different part of the state hospitals as a part of intership programme, also they are given projects such as of poultry to gain more knowledge of the field... The students gets paid about Rs 8000 as stipend in their internship

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees accounts for around Rs 110000, which includes Rs57000 tuition fees, Rs 40000 annual food charge, Rs 2500 CCF, Rs 1500 water and electricity, Rs 1000 medical facilities and Rs 600 for hostel room etc... There are also options of payment seats, in which other then annual fee, the student has to give Rs 500000 donation every year if he/she belongs to other state... There are scholarship facilities like NSP, income, etc which students can avail and lead to their reduction in tuition fees... There are reservation seats for Jammu and Kashmir students which can be availed through PM scheme in which whole tuition fees is forgiven and the student has to give only the hostel and other curricular charges...

Campus Life

5

Annually Vet week is conducted in which many cultural programmes takes place in which many of the students participate and and honoured for their performance... Also vet fair is conducted annually to see the manipulative marketing skills and how to get sponsorship for the stall for overall grooming of the students

Hostel Facilities

5

Students are provided a single bed along with a table and chair in the room with electricity facility... We have attached washroom and bathroom nearby the rooms... 4 meals are provided including breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner... The quality of food is good and costs Rs 120 per day which is deducted from our food bill account... Hostel room are in good condition and also provide all sports and other facilities required... There is also a common room where TV is available for leisure...

Admission

I choose this college as it is an esteemed institution of the nation... Many of the dignitaries have passed out with flying colours from the same, and I want to follow the same path... Also the level of teaching the institute provides is remarkable with best faculty and facilities...

Faculty

5

As the number of students are increasing every year so the faculty to student ratio is less but is handsomely manageable...the faculty members are really supportive and are always working positively for students for their betterment... Dr. Munish Batra sir in dept of pathology and Dr. R. Huozha in dept of physiology and biochemistry, I love them personally due to their positive charming nature... We have an yearly system so there are 3 internal exams conducted, out of which best 2 are counted with 2 external exams...The level of paper ranges from medium to high but it is usually easy to attain good grades. The course curriculum follows the VCI guidelines and is very much relevant to the profession

Course Curriculum Overview:

It offers multiple opportunities and a great profession to persue. If one has inclination towards animals and doest compare it with mbbs or other degrees. It is a different profession requiring different mindsets. One can be a veterinary officer of grade one or grade two according to state government.
