It was founded by Uttaranchal Progressive Educational Society, HQ II-A Sewak Ashram Road, Dehradun. The institute has a dynamic academic and research program(s) which involves a faculty of about 45 lecturers and scientists. UCST is offering a Master of Science( M.Sc.) course in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology, Environmental Science and Information Technology and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) course in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Agriculture, Information Technology and Forestry and it also offers Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.), Bachelor of Computer Application (B.C.A.) and Bachelor of Library and Information Science (B.Lib.I.Sc.) to the students. - I like the surrounding nature of this college and this college is in hilly place so it's peaceful
- If you talk about faculty expertise so I think there is no expert faculties. all are new bees and faculty changes in every 4-6 months

- There is nothing to be liked about this college.
- When you take admission in that college the administration department mam will tell you that the companies like HCL TCS wiproo come here for placement but it's all fake not even a single company come here for any type of placement especially for IT .

I applied for this college because when I got a call from this college that mam told me that there will be companies coming for placements like HCL Wipro TCS Microsoft and I don't know what what and the fee was also less(15000/sem)at that time so I thought this will be perfect college but when I get into the college the reality was different. I didn't applied for any other college and I think that's the very big mistake I did. There is no exam and cut off criteria for admission. anyone who go to the college will get the admission you just have to pay fees that's the only criteria.

Any one can apply for this college. You just need to pass your 12th examination from any school. You should be a student of science and mathematics. Admission process is simple just contact the admission councillor of ucst and get a admission.

College admits students on merit and first-come, first-served basis. The pedagogic and innovative and social soundness at the campus acts as a magnet for the students to opt for this college. The college culture is democratic and humane in nature. the university result id nearly 100% with 98% of students being placed in first-class above 70% at all levels. The college has entered into MOUs with the different business houses and industries for campus placement programmes. These business houses and industries visit the campus frequently or on invitation to interact, and elect and select the students in the line with their requirement : also the information in the job opportunities available or passed on to us, is duly notified on the notice board. This college is an academic and educational destination only.
