It was founded by Uttaranchal Progressive Educational Society, HQ II-A Sewak Ashram Road, Dehradun. The institute has a dynamic academic and research program(s) which involves a faculty of about 45 lecturers and scientists. In addition, the institute provides an environment that is conducive to make the students focus on their development and traditional values. UCST is offering a Master of Science( M.Sc.) course in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology, Environmental Science and Information Technology and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) course in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Agriculture, Information Technology and Forestry and it also offers Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.), Bachelor of Computer Application (B.C.A.) and Bachelor of Library and Information Science (B.Lib.I.Sc.) to the students.
