Remarks
The college has good infrastructure and labs. Apart from that the college shows promising discipline in all aspects. Being in Shillong it is very accessible for students in Assam. The college has an excellent NCC, Sports and Extra Curricular Activities program.
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus is a little outdated and sometimes was way too less. Except a few professors, the others did only what they had to do according to the syllabus. That is why I think, for a lot of reasons, the faculties should not follow the clerical method of teaching and try to give everything they can to the students. Education has to be challenging and that was not the case in our college.
Placement Experience
Since the college has only two PG courses available, only a very few companies visit the college. The interviews are heard to be as tough and students generally don't opt for them as they prefer going for the PG courses.
College Events
The college organises a lot of events throughout the year. Fresher's and Farewell, Yearly Photo day, huge Independence Day celebrations and the 7 days themed College week are some of the worth mentioning ones. Apart from that there are debates, quizzed and MUNs throughout the entire years.
Campus Life
The college is excellent in sports. There are two basketball courts, one badminton court, separate table tennis courts for boys and girls, a football field (outside campus), a volleyball court and a gym. WiFi does not work at times but that is a general problem for Shillong. The library is big and it has a lot of books. The labs are well stocked with equipments and are of the top quality.
