I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains. The syllabus for the same is similar to jee mains and the good thing is it has no negative marking. All 12th pass students with a minimum of 60% are eligible to write this entrance test. I applied in BITS,MIT,SRM and VIT and I have WBJEE too. I chose this college as my relatives did their course here and i was inspired by them. And i heard VIT has good NRIF ranking. I got selected in MIT and SRM. I did not choose MIT because of compromised reputation and SRM because of more money. All of us know VIT for its flagship program which is B. Tech but its MBA program is too good as well. I gave the CAT exam and secured 85 percentile which helped me in taking admission at VIT.
