Course Curriculum Overview

4

The branch that i opted for is CSE with minors in AIML. The cirriculum for 1st year students is more or less the same for all. The college offers various platforms of its own such as neoportal and vpropel for students to practice and give tests on coding. We have Digital Assesments(DAs) before every CAT examination that are also taken into consideration for calculation of gpa.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are plenty of internship opportunities given in the college by big companies. You have an engineering project every year. By the end of 4th year or before sitting for the placements you need to complete your capstone project. Just maintain a good cgpa and upgrade your skills then this college is a blessing for you for there are plenty of opportunities to grow.

Placement Experience

3

Students from 2nd year are eligible for sitting for internships and even placements if they have those skills. They need to give eligibilty tests and interviews for the same. Companies like Morgan Stanley, Philips, Google, Microsoft, TCS, Deloit visit the college for placements. The average placement for CSE branches is 10lpa. Highest in 2025 is 1cr per annum and in 2024 it was 88lpa. Majority of the students get placed in campus.

Campus Life

4

The student or campus life is not so great here considering its too much of discipline and restriction. However there are fests that can be enjoyed. The technical fest is the TechnoVIT and the cultural fest is called Vibrance. The libray here is huge and well maintained and the college also promotes sports and other extracirricular activities. There are various culutural and technical clubs offered

Hostel Facilities

3

You have an option of choosing 2, 3, 4 or 6 bed system along with choosing ac or non ac. You will be provided with a good cupboard, beds, study table, night lamp and whiteboard. The room cleaning services are provided daily. if you do not want to opt for an hostel, there are tata apartments right outside the campus. The food served in the mess has a huge variety everyday and there are feasts given on regular intervals.

Admission

I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains. The syllabus for the same is similar to jee mains and the good thing is it has no negative marking. All 12th pass students with a minimum of 60% are eligible to write this entrance test. The admission procedure is online and smooth.

Faculty

4

The faculties offered are huge in number as the college follows ffcs system. Each faculty has around 5-10 research scholars that help in the labs. Most of the faculties are passionate in their jobs. some faculties that do not bother to come to the classes but thanks to ffcs these faculties are not recommended to the juniors and not prefered to be taken. VIT conducts overall 3 exams in a semester- CAT 1, CAT 2, FAT. CAT 1 and CAT 2 are mid term exams while FAT is the end term. CAT 2 is an open notes test. Relative grading is followed for all theory classes.

Night Life

3

The in time for campus is 6pm. For girls hostel the in time is 8pm while for boys it is 9pm so there is not much you can enjoy outside your hostel after 8 or 9. However it has a night canteen inside the hostel which provides a feast to all your night cravings. Library is open until 12midnight for all. The college is extremely safe for students

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspect which is great future on IT Field of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course. The curriculum prepared me to solve tough real-world logical aptitude test and coding test. The course curriculum is only based on the theory in several areas. My suggestion is to improve that too in practical manner for better real-world understanding. The frequency and the timing of my exams along with my perspective on the difficulty level is 2hrs.
