Remarks

College has actually helped me in my overall growth, made me more independent and also given me a lot of scope to look up to. I also got a chance to head the magazine team fore college during my 2nd year.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college not only has great faculties who make every effort to make sure that every student learns, there are also clubs that help in the mutual growth of students in an overall manner. There is a club in college for each major core department that includes front office, housekeeping, food and beverage service and kitchen. In the second year of college you will be mandatory taking to do an internship at a 5 star hotel to learn and have a hands-on experience on the industry as to give you an industrial exposure which helps in the time of placements. There are six semesters over three years and every semester has one midterm examination and one final and term examination and in the fifth and sixth semester on campus placements happen. College also has a hundred percent placement rate.

Placement Experience

4.5

Most major hotels and hotel chains visit the college during the placements. The institution has conducted various webinars and seminars on premises in order to to groom the students and prepare them for the placements. Of the brands that came to college are Marriott International, Hilton group of hotels, starbucks, pride hotels, ITC, Taj, Oberoi, ginger hotels, Oyo rooms, park hotels, Hyatt, Accor hotels, third wave coffee roaster, bata etc.

College Events

3

There are various events cultural and otherwise that happen these includes independence Day celebration, republic day, ethnic day, theme lunches, holi, annual day, other small club activities and competitions from clubs like farewell, freshers day, quizzes, wine tasting etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Roughly the fees for 3 years is close to rupees 3 lacs. Additional fees may include IGNOU fees, uniform and books. Break ups are clearly given. Payment can be made online or by deman draft. The program fee is broken and to be paid per semester. There are 500/- or 1000/- rs to be paid as late charges if fees are not paid at a stipulated time.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not applied for scholarship for education loans however SC ST have a lot of benefits since it is a government college with regards to slide moderation in the fees details of which need to be gathered from the accounts office where the staff will give you a form to fill it out

Campus Life

The college does not have elaborate campus the ratio to boys is to girls is 70:30. Various wine tasting, food tasting and cooking workshops take place. Most students come from middle class families, only 1-2 international students are there in my batch. They pay 2 times the fees that Indian nationals do.

Alumni/Alumna

The aluminus re really amazing SD not only help their juniors regular college assignments but also with placements or any other kind of trouble. There is a lot of harmony among students and alumni even in hostels.

Admission

When I was in class 12 I entered a cooking competition and realised that maybe hotel management was the thing for me so I got to know about the entrance exam NCHMCT JEE which was to be held in May and the results would come out by June after which college would start from July. I heard a lot about the faculties who were the aces in their fields with a lot of work and reputation in the industry as well.

Faculty

4

All the faculties have in-depth knowledge of the core departments and are aged between 30 to 50 years. There are lots of mock interviews that faculties take on request so as to benefit the students. Other that a lot of seminars and webinars also happen in order to encourage students to take up their chosen department.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college is decent, wiyh around 90% of students are getting placed. Students usually become eligible for placement in their final year and the college provides internships opportunities before that, which helps in gaining experience. Many companies visit to campus mainly from marketing and sales, along with some roles in HR and operations. The number of offer is good but option for finance and analytic are comparatively limited.
