No.its just fun having here.but academics kills you man.

Course Curriculum Overview

We had 2 semester exams and last year complete research work. We have to complete atleast 16 grade in one sem. You can opt upto 26 grades.I have given most of the papers open book open notes. And during research work you have to work hard. Even I haven't slept for 3 days while writing my final draft of dissertation. And in case any semester you gone below 6.5 GPA you will be terminated from college and course.

Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Placement Experience

Good. got placed in UTC after my course. And only students manage the the placement cell.one of my friend were overall placement coordinator.

College Events

Antraagni culuturer event.and udgosh was sports event. and these were very renowned national level events. Around more than 3000 colleges across india participated here.and we were generally waiting for DU ki ladkiyan.4 days event of antraagni is like.andar ki agni shant krne ka time hai

Fee Structure And Facilities

MHRD was paying half of the fees of ours. Fee of each semester was 36000 and we paid around 15000 per sem. Rest waived by MHRD to masters students. mode of payment was offline via DD or cheque either online. Apart from this you have to pay for food.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes cleared the gate exam you will get 12500 per month stipend.you just have to be engineer that's it

Campus Life

Reagrding campus life.was very chill axcept academics. gender ratio is 1:10 and about extracurricular you have plenty much of clubs join anyone and enjoy the life. Yeah there is technical event call techcriti you can have robowar and all.science club is just fun.you will enjoy everything out here

Alumni/Alumna

Yeah.you will be given alumni I'd.you will get mails here.alumni network help you for jobs.and also donate here.network is having proper hierarchy.

Admission

Just passed entrance exam got admission on july.exact date I dont remember.and I opt mechanical engineering because everyone said evergreen branch hai and all.but I guess it's not like that.whatever you opt you have work hard to get something. And I have cleared gate exam with good score got admission in iit kanpur

Faculty

I have to get an appointment to meet any other faculty apart from my department and course work. Rest you can meet any time with your guide. faculties are at some point very helpful. But they are very strict when it comes to the Mark's and course work

The placement cell of our college is good, our college do provide good and well paying placements such as wipro and many others. The students are eligible in our college for campus placements in last semester of the their course. The highest package of placements is 800000 And the lowest package is 350000 The average package is 500000 Almost 90% of students gets the placements

Placement Experience:

Students are given internship opportunities right from the first year. As I'm already on the verge of graduating in the next two months, I've seen the faculty and management put more attention to the Training and Placement Cell. Big companies like Deloitte, HCL and Austrian Migration Lawyers like Loch Corporate have taken interns from the law school at DME. This being said, I have high hopes from the Placements as well. I plan on working in the corporate and later this year appearing in Clat PG for the masters.

I choose this college becouse of its flexible acdemic structure and its great Alum connections. Also this is the best college i am getting according to my rank and my interest in mathematics. I have Applied for IIT delhi in electronics. IIT Delhi is also a great college but when it comes to academic focus IIT delhi lacks there. Also there faculty administratation is so strict. if a student wants to start something or he/she has a new iniative for the college , he/she will face hard time. So I couldn't make it to IIT Roper CSE branch because my jee adance rank is not that great for the Roper' Computer science. So the Admission process here at IITK is not difficult. You just the originaly document which you have submitted in your josa counselling portal and you need to verify it once here usually a couple opf hours work. The cut-off for IITK varies-from branch to branch. For example the CSE of IITk open from Jee advanced general rank of 115 to 250....Read More

I chose IIT Kanpur over othe rcooleges because of its academic reputation, research opportunities and strong alumini network. I was also able to get seats in other IITs but I preferred IIT Kanpur due to its legacy . I didn't face rejections, but did not opt for some colleges even after qualifying due to lower research output, weaker placement stats.
