Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is structured and broken down to create a sense of better understanding for the students. Assignments are basically research driven to ensure the students have an all around development in their students.Exam structure is focused on bringing out the best in each and every student.

There are mutiple placement drives available for the hotel management and hospitality courses.Most of them pick up jobs or start businesses.

College Events

Kaleidoscope is the biggest event of sophia college. Mutiple stages with mutiple events in this two day festival. Showcase of upcoming talent across colleges happen here.It has been the best college fest in the last few years and is extremely reputed.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Extremely feasible. The fee for a girl child in accordance with the government is fixed now at rs 120 per quarter. Additional fees and charges are nominal like the library and lab charges which are extremely expansive and informative.Yes the college is extremely transparent in providing a fee breakdown

Girls college nominal fees. Eligibility only on merit and interviews after. Yes the college provides free education for the girl child and scholarships for the science stream.

Campus Life

It has been an extremely enriching journey as the college is completely focused on all round development of their students.Student and dorm parties are encouraged. Workshops by the students and for the students are conducted with favour by the seniors.

Hostel Facilities

The hostels are situated right on top of the main art college over the cafeteria. The rentals are minimal. They are available to the out station students at a nominal charge only first cum first serve basis.

Extremely helpful and friendly. In complete tangent with the staff the seniors help in project work and festival planning

You apply and will qualify only based on merit and the personal interviews conducted by the college. The institute is extremely reputed with state of the art facilities. The library is expansive and even the labs are huge and well equipped. All the staff are extremely helpful and well qualified.

The faculty is highly experienced and professional consistently imparting knowledge and individual specific behavioural traits are honed. The faculty and even guest lecturers are certified and are tweaked to be industry specific. They are highly experienced

The faculty members are highly qualified, approachable, and always willing to help with academic or research projects.
The campus infrastructure is excellent, featuring modern labs, a well-stocked library, and great sports facilities.

Dislikes

The hostel mess food lacks variety and quality, which is a frequent concern among resident students.
The placement department needs improvement as more core internship and job opportunities could be provided for undergraduate finance and BMS students
There is a lack of student-accessible Wi-Fi facilities across the campus premises, which makes online research difficult during college hours.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies) course primarily due to its highly comprehensive coverage of core business aspects specially human resources. The curriculum is well-structured to offer a deep understanding of corporate administration and strategic management, which strongly influenced my decision to enroll. Regarding the examination structure, semester exams are conducted systematically every six months, with internal assessments, assignments, and class presentations spread across the term. The timing is generally manageable, and the difficulty level ranges from moderate to high, effectively testing a student's analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities rather than just memory recall.

College is Good

Likes

Infrastructure is just too good- Building is Fully Air Conditioned
Placement are really decent for a Commerce Graduate around 6-7 Lakhs per annum
Lots of student Associations are there to gain practical exposure.

Dislikes

Very Strict Attendance Policy of 75 Percent.
Rigid and Time Consuming Course Structure
Lot of Fests are there but they do not match the Vibe like North Indian Colleges Fests

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent around 6-7 LPA and almost 50% students get placed and the Highest package is Around 22LPA . Many MNCs visit the college such as McKinsey,Barclays, Goldman Sachs etc. • I am planning to get placed in a MNC.

the curriculum included both theoretical and practical subjects related to computer science ,which matches my interest in technology and career growth . The curriculum provided foundational knowledge ,practical assignments ,and project work that helped in understanding real word application More industry oriented training is suggested the exams were conducted after 6 months every semester some times the results are delayed by university

I loved the library and canteen of the college
College community is quite good no ragging is done
Faculties are strict but at the same time they are supportive as well

Dislikes

Small Campus not very interesting can be done on that place
Curriculum is as same as tier 3 colleges not very interesting and does not match to those of other colleges like VJTI
Placement cell is not very active they don't provide internship

Placement Experience:

After 4th year students are eligible for campus placement. Capgemini, wipro, accenture are the top companies visited here and the highest package offered was 30lpa. As of now the placement percentage is 80% and rest go for off campus. And even I'll try to go for Off campus

Likes

The professors at the college were always available for any doubt clearances or any other help
College also offered courses free of cost of latest technologies
The college supported students in taking part in any paper conference or hackathon

Dislikes

Conduction of technical events was comparatively less
The was alumni connection was not available through college
The infrastructure could be improved more

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placements in the fourth year. There are good number of placement opportunities available through college but the placement package is less compared to other colleges. The placement cordinator is helpful.

"The Best college"

Likes

Faculty of College Is good. All Faculty of College is Well worsed.
Library of the College is Very Good. Having plenty of books. Each Volumes and edition are available to the library.
The Moot Court hall is well equipped. Having all the facilities and modern techniques as well.

Dislikes

The Infrastructure of boys Hostel Should be improved
There is no canteen in college. College can try to open canteen
Parking for Bikes should be improve. College having ample of space for car parking

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chooses this curriculum as I am intrested to do law. Many of students and other peoples praises the college as "Best College of Law" in Marathwada region. To be honest. Really it is best college. Which gives us best curriculum during our academic year. The curriculum of college teaches me how to become a good lawyer. The arguing skills etc. There should be no suggestions from my side just to imrove the course curriculum as it is overall good. The timings and scheduled are fixed by college and university. Generally the exam is in two shifts 10:00 to 1.00 and 2.00 to 5.00pm.

Some departments here were really great like ETC and Mechanical with a unique culture going on
AIML and AIDS being new branches here are still doing their job very well for the students

Dislikes

The Students section not really tends to help ,as i saw many financially weak students facing the problem of 1 time payment fees and their request for part payments option is always rejected
Infrastructure is decent but in summer season the water coolers are just useless there ,no cooler will give you cold water

Some courses were to the point like IOT was well designed and DSA too with java programming side by side ,still as i said AIML is new branch and needs much enhancements ,the areas where they can improve was always practicals and labs those were always taken casual as i remember

Wealthy and good campus

Likes

I like the cleanness of the collage and premise
Very good interaction with other peaceful campus
Another thing i like is the infrastructure good campus amenities and learning facilities

Dislikes

The lab management no sitting arrangement many of the water taps not working ect
The office faculty most of them are rude in behaviour
The parking arrangements not well yet and not allowing any of four wheeler inside the campus

I love pharmacy and i love to see me as an pharmacist i like this profession because i like to see the other pharmacists how they work how they wear the lab coat ect thats why i choose this and as soon i get to know that we can also start a business by having a pharmacy license

In Mumbai, Sophia at least has a bit of greenery and space. It has a central lawn and a nice environment. I chose this college for the name it holds and its alumni. I was also happy with the course i was granted here. I did apply to two other colleges but did not get the subjects i wanted. To get admission in Sophia, you have to register in the Mumbai University site first and then in the Sophia College For Women official site. After that, all notices will be sent to the registered email. The merit list will also be mailed. There are 3 merit lists, and they come out with gaps of around 1 to 2 weeks. The first list usually consists of previous alumni of the college who have done their JC there, those who have scored well in their 12th boards and the ones under Christian reservations. The second list consists of the ones coming after the ones who scored well for their 12th boards in sequence, and those looking to avail hostel seatings in the college. The remaining are in the third list. After this, an amount will be needed to be paid as adimission fees to secure your admission to the college....Read More
