Anonymous's Review On St Anthony's College, Shillong

Being the best college in NE I chose this college. It is affordable as well as the infrastructure suits my choice. The extra co-curricular activities are top. It shapes the students to the right path. And moreover the NCC organization in my college is the best and I'm proud of it.

We had enough field trips for field experiences. We had college week where we showcast our talents and moreover we never skip National festival. We celebrate them in colourful ways with various competition in it. There are so many clubs and organisation namely NCC, NSS, AYC and each dept. has their own club. There are DRs and ADR to represent the dept. and we have students leader who are the main decisions maker with the guidance of the Principal and professors.

We have sveral campus recruitment and I would say placement and job opportunities are very high. NCC has also provided many young Army officers and banks like SBI, ICFC and several other usually came for recruitment. Umbrella organization also came for cmpus recruitment. There are so many placement but I'm sorry I can't mention them all.

They are awesome. The best place to show and build up talent and every hidden talents we have. When it comes to cultural, mention not. It is the best place where unity in diversity is observed. All the seven sisters and brother are in the campus including foreign students. There's no racism and the main thing, there is no such thing as bullying or seniority rules. Everyone is treated equally despite caste and creed. We had programs for PG under some department.

I don't know about loans but as far as my knowledge goes, there are various scholarship from states as well as national. To mention them States scholarship provided by their respective state government and Ishan Uday scholarship.We have a different office dealing with scholarship.

We have free wifi, library, computer lab, two basketball court, volleyball court, small futsal ground, labs in every science dept. separate toilets and washrooms. And moreover the male and female hostel are situated within the premises. We also had Value Education department and career counseling office. We also had professors who are ready to help us or hear us out if we have certain mental and psychological problem. There's a separate office for that.

The male hostel is perfect. I'm proud to say it's the best hostel in the world. Like I mentioned before, every one is treated equally. We had foreign students as well as all from the states of NE. The rooms are perfect. There is single room, double room, tripple room and dormitory. The fees depends on the rooms you get. Mess fee for every month is 1600 and lodging fee is paid in installments twice a year depending on the rooms you chose. It's probably 12k for single room, 8k for double, 6k for triple and dormitory annually. We had several functions in the hostel to build ourselves and bring out our hidden talent. We have 1st year night, 2nd year night, 3rd year night and one of the biggest festival in whole Shillong i.e. Stephenian show. We have rooms for PG as well.The same goes for the female hostel.
