Remarks

I was not a NEET aspirant. So, I didn't sit for JEE-Mains or WBJEE. But my NEET results weren't satisfactory. Then I heard about UEM. Almost 7-8 of school friends were taking admission here. So, I contacted them and came to know about IEMJEE. I gave that exam and got qualified.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our curriculum is highly updated with modern subjects like Python, AI and ML. We are being trained for UPSC, GATE etc. The faculty members are highly experienced and very helpful. The University also arranges for seminars and workshops on different kinds of modern technologies.

Class Size: 97Course Fees: INR 584000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements are very good here. Almost all the students get placed in different companies. TCS and Wipro are mass recruiters here. Apart from them, numerous startups and other companies visit our campus during placements, to hire our students.

College Events

I won't deny, campus life in UEM is a bit boring. There are no free periods when you can enjoy with your friends. Sometimes, it becomes very frustrating to attend 6 bac-to-back hour long classes with just a 40-minute lunch break in between. However, college events are fun. College fests like Ureckon and Ecstasia, freshers' ceremony etc. are there for students to enjoy. UEM has several official clubs in different co-curricular activities, which organize competitions and events regularly.

Campus Life

Our campus is a bit compact. Though classrooms and laboratories are big in size, there isn't much space to roam around or just sit and enjoy, except for the cafeteria. There is no playground inside the campus, games are held in the basement. Their are 3 auditoriums for holding seminars and workshops.

Should I Choose IEM.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Heritage Law College is Lovely!!

Placement Experience:

Number of students who have been placed is far less than what it should be ideally. Kolkata is a paradise for law practice as it is the largest city of India and lawyers have always been in demand here. Still only 30% of the students are placed here and that's a big issue considering the name of our college.

Most of the students also get placement opportunities whether large or small package The opportunity is given to all degree whether it be bcom or bcom hons . The course curriculum is backdated and should be improvised as it doesn't give any exposure of present industry knowledge. The frequency of exams is that exams are held after 6 months on semester basis and are easy to pass and majority of the students pass this semester easily.

Decent government college which needs to improve.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is obviously outdated and the knowledge we get through it, is bookish and does not apply to present industry methods. This way we are given no exposure to the real life industry knowledge. The exams are held on semester basis after every 6 months and are easy and manageable.

If you come to this college this college is good the teachers are friendly and you will get the campus from the college if you study hard.

You can take admission in UEM Kolkata through IEMJEE Entrance Test or Direct Admission by giving 10,000/-. College review

Provide decent jobs to most students. Faculties are helpful and teach well. You can issue 3 books at a time from the library once your library card is made. Classes are held to enhance your communication skills. A lot of items in the canteen and cafeteria. No ragging. There is no ground to play. Very strict rules, has a lot of restrictions. Most students call it a jail, cause you cannot bunk classes. But believe me, it will shape you into a good human being and you will also get placed if you put your effort.
